Another possibility is to use a different sent of connectors on your TV. I had issues using the 'component' connectors on the back, getting only black and white, but it worked fine one I switched over to a set labeled by the TV as "A/V."

have you noticed the wire that links into the back of you t.v, follow it down to find a little box with a switch, have you stried switching it, the problem could be the wire that plugs into the television, if the above doesnt work see if you can find onother, such as a friend, if so try theirs out and see if there is a difference
