Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Check to make sure none of the pins inside the slot are bent. If any are you will require a new card reader which is pretty difficult to install. If they are not bent try blowing into the slot and see what happens
Hope this helps.

More than likely it's because the contacts are not conducting correctly; this is probably because they're dirty... try to clean them with some rubbing alcohol...
WARNING: if done wrong, this can damage things... so you might want to try looking up something on youtube witth video instructions...
The blowing idea isn't bad either (if the block is simple) and, hey, it worked on NES.... ;)

IS IT AN ORIGINAL NINTENDO DSi GAME???IS IT AN R4 CARD OR TT CARD?
IF IT IS AN ORIGINAL TRY REMOVING IT,AND GENTLY BLOW INTO THE SLOT....LEAVE IT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE AND PUT THE GAME BACK IN.....SOMETIMES THE SMALLEST BIT OF DUST WILL EFFECT IT.............OTHERWISE IF ITS AN R4 OR TT CARD THE SOFTWARE MIGHT NOT BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY
