Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
I have to turn the cold water off from the spout, it just runs weather I turn it to a setting or not. The water just trickles, sometimes the the cold water runs correctly but you never know when it will happen.
The problem is with the solenoid valve which is located behind the machine and provides the connections to the water supply. One side is labled H for hot and C for cold. If you were to reverse the hoses the result would be an intermittent problem with the hot water supply.
The needle valve somtimes becomes stuck in the open or closed position causing the symptom you are describing.
Replacement of the water fill solenoid valve is recommended.
Hope this helps.
