I can help with your easy call problem.

When you refer to speed dialing and 'easy call', are you really talking about a problem with a remote control?
This language seems to lend itself more to a cell phone than a Magnavox Universal Remote Control.

If so, please post the make and model of your phone, so that we are more readily able to help you accurately.

Are you pressing the jog dial to save the setting? Here's what your book says:
  1. Turn the Mode dial to P, A, S, M, or C.
    The mode options are displayed.

  2. Use the jog dial:
    • Rotate the jog dial to move the cursor. autourg00230002id1608637.jpg
    • Press the jog dial to open a setting.
    • Rotate the jog dial to change the setting. autourg00230002id1608659.jpg
    • Press the jog dial to save the setting.
NOTE: Available options are white. Unavailable options are grey. Red options are out of range and may cause unacceptable image/print quality. Adjust the value higher or lower until it turns yellow.

How to delete and program in speed numbers for fax

Create speed dial entries for fax numbers that you use frequently. The number of speed dial entries you can set up depends on the HP device. For more information, see the specifications for the HP device.

Need help changing the speed dial ID numbers

In order to change #01 to #21 its best just to program the number into #21 slot and then clear the memory for #1.

Start by trying to store a number at a location already used Press Menu/Set, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Quick-Dial), 2 (Speed-Dial).

Use the dial pad to select the three-digit location (001 – 200) in which you want to erase the number and press Menu/Set.
The screen displays the name or number currently stored there, then prompts you to either 1. CHANGE or 2. EXIT.
Press the Stop/Exit key when the cursor is to the left of the digits. Everything above and to the right of the cursor is deleted.
Hit he menu/set key.

This should save the speed dial number as a blank.

Somehow, a group dial # has been set. Here is how to delete it:
NOTE: Group Dial Numbers are entered using the One-Touch keypad on the left hand side of the WorkCentre. To change a Speed Dial that is within a Group Dial, the Group must be deleted first.
  1. Press the [Menu] button.
  2. On the left hand side of the Control Panel press the One-Touch [12] button.
  3. The LCD Display will read 'Select One-Touch for Group [01-20]'.
  4. Press the One-Touch key to be used for the Group Dial.
  5. One of two displays will appear:
    • If the Group Dial number has not been used:
      1. The LCD Display will read 'Group No: ### 1. YES 2. NO'.
      2. Using the Dialing Keypad press [1] to accept or
      3. Press [2] to return to step four.
      4. The LCD Display will read 'Enter One-Touch / Speed Dial> ##'.
      5. Continue with step 6.
    • If the Group Dial number has been used:
      1. The LCD Display will read 'Group ## Used 1: Renew 2: Other'.
      2. Using the Dialing Keypad press [1] to 'Renew'. This will cancel the Speed Dial or Group Dial entry and the Group Dial will be deleted.
      3. Press [2] to keep the current entry and select another Group Dial
      4. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
