Dear there usually there will be a scanner lock. first discoonect from mains power supply then wait for printer to cool down. Check for any sliding switch near the scanner or below the Scanner glass( paper print exit area) . If there is no switch. then approach the samsung call center also they will help over the phone. . Last option, Then I recommend u to visit nearest service center. They will fix for you.
The only things that can cause a scanner error on this unit is a complete scanner harware failure or the scanner lock. With the unit on lock the transport lock and unlock it a few times quite forcibly. Then leave it in the unlocked position and power off and on again. If the light returns then at his point I think a new printer will be needed.
Inside the print tray (where the paper comes out) on the upper right there is a blue lever. Pull it toward you and that will unlock the scanner. I just did this and restarted my printer and it worked! Hope this helps!
* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing * Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again * if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead
the lock is underneath the scanner where the printed paper gets delivered. when you reach in to get a printout you more than likley have pushed it into the lock position. Once you unlock that blue button by pulling towards you, switch off the printer and again switch on the printer.
