Browseris saying security warning there are problem with the security certificate I for this site also it said the name of the site doesn't match the name on the certificate please help me thanks

First run your virus scan on full setting.
the site might be corrupted but start with your system first.
then try the site if you get crazy message don't go there.
not sure what site you are looking to go to but avoid sites that let certificate lapse.

you have to trust the site is geniune as the encryption used does not have a valid security certificate with it and your internet browser cannot be sure the web site is who they say they are. Firefox browser comes up with a warning and asked to trust the web site. Chrome also comes up and states a similar warning. Internet explorer comes up also with a warning .
Without a valid security certificate your operating system cannot verify the web site is the geniune web site and it could be someone intercepting your internet connection and pretending to be the web site. You have to decide if you wish to risk logging into a possible bogus site or if it is the correct site you are after.
The HTTPS is using an encryption protocol and this is why the browser stops and asks do you want to take the risk or not. You may be giving your password and user name to a hacker that is the risk it is warning you about.

How do i update my garmin nuvi 250? it tells me it needs to be updated.

Garmin is telling you to update your Map, its wants you to buy a New Map which cost around 50 or 60 dollars.....your unit will work find for now unless you need the new map 2011 it just has the newer streets and highways. Anything over 2 years old should have a newer Map..

With the gps Off

plug in your gps to your computer using a USB cable (most cameras connect to your computer with the same usb cable)

your computer with detect new hardware ( usb ) a pop up box will come up, minimise it

next

go to www.MyGarmin.com the Garmin site will detect your pluged-in unit and let your update your Map

It will say to download WebUpDater utility to transfer your map to your gps

Make sure you register your unit with Garmin at that time

Certificate error on web site.

This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone. When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

Or

"Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."

To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:

Method 1:

You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
  • Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
  • Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
  • Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear.

Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.

Method 2:

Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.

    tool.jpg
  • Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites

    sec.jpg
  • Type the URL in the Add this website to the zone text box > uncheck Require server verification >Add > click OK

    trust.jpg
  • Click OK to exit.

    cus.jpg

Now you have added the URL successfully into the Trusted Sites security zone.

I lost my owners manual for my garmin 765T GPS device, and dont wish to ship it to be unlocked. how do i recover a new unlock code?

Garmin is the only source for unlocking a previously locked GPS when the security unlock code is forgotten. This security code is optionally created by the owner, it is not in any manual. Unfortunately, if you're unable to demonstrate proof of ownership to the CSR at Garmin in such a way that is satisfactory to them, return on the GPS is the only remedy.

This is Garmin's theft deterrent system at work. Too many times, people looking for this information have simply come into possession of a device that does not belong to them. If you are the owner of the GPS, you should be able to recall the security code you created and be glad that your interests are being rigorously defended. On the other hand, if you have stolen the device.. well, I can't say what I really think here.

Hot sync problem for Garmin iQue 3600

If reinstalling on the same computer with your original cd doesnt' work then I suspect that your registry has gotten corrupted somehow.

I'd find another computer and try a totally new install to see if that works. This registry stuff is a headache.
If it works on a different computer then I'd go into the registry and remove all traces of Palm and ique and start all over. Always make a backup of your registry before messing around with it. If the original CD worked before then there's no reason to download newer versions unless you are wanting to solve some other problems.

I can't sign-in to bebo, when i try it says this link is broken, how can this happen?

This is definately your parents or someone else putting Security software on your network. This will stop you from viewing sites that the individual has deemed "inapropriate". The problem with this is that people are given the option to block "Web based chat" or "online gaming" and don't pick particular sites. This leads to perfectly fine sites being blocked. You should talk to whoever controls your network. Also use www.ebuddy.com to access your msn if its blocked.
