Just got Pentax K-30, has no SD card? Isn't that something it needs to operate?

Like many cameras, the K-30 requires a memory card. And like many cameras, it doesn't come with one (though some stores may bundle a card and other accessories).

The K-30 can use SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards. It's up to you what type, size, and speed card you use. Some people like to use one big card to hold all their pictures. Some people like to use two (or more) smaller cards so that if something happens to a card they don't lose all their pictures.

You can use any brand, though personally I would stick with the major brands.

How can i plug in my 2 gb adapters into my motherboard?

You will need a card reader. and an adaptor to fit the micro sd card into.
You usually get the sd adaptor when you buy a mini or mico sd card.
If you dont have a card reader built into your computer, you can buy one very cheap.

It's difficult to help you as you haven't said what model camera that you have. But a more important question is why are you still using internal memory for your photos? This is just emergency storage, and isn't meant to hold more than a few pictures. Your camera likely has an SD card slot. If you purchase an inexpensive SD card, you can literally take and store hundreds of pictures:

Printer will not read SD card from Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ3

Put the card in an adapter or in your computer. Make sure the pictures are not in folders. The printer is unable to read them if they are.
Also, the file size of the picture cannot be over 8 MB and the image size has to be below 12 megapixels.

Help please

You won't be able to write the pictures back to the card using the camera. Instead you'll need to use an SD card reader in order to do that. A card reader allows both reading and writing to the card. I also highly recommend using a card reader to normally download your pictures as they tend to be much faster and reliable downloads. SD card readers are very inexpensive these days, for example:

Need more mp

My son has the same camera with a 1 gigabyte Sandisk sd card. This allows him to store about 200 pictures at full resolution. The cards are very inexpensive. Here is a link to a 1gb card that is $8.28 on
If you plan to take small movies I would get a 2 gig card. Videos use much more memory. This one is $11.88 from Amazon"
Costco also has great prices on SD memory.
Your camera will not accept cards larger than 2 gigabytes.
If that helped please rate me well.
Take Care,
