Press and hold the release mode button on the top of the camera (marked with overlapping rectangles), then turn the main command dial (on the back) until the self-timer symbol (one-handed clock) appears on the command panel.
Start the self-timer by pressing the shutter release button.
To turn off the self-timer, repeat the above process to get back to single-frame, continuous low or continuous high mode.
ACTUALLY IT SAYS...ERROR 002000;FLASH TEST/FLASH CHARGING FAILED....TURN ON UNIT; REMOVE BATS; TURN UNIT OFF; REPLACE BATS; TURN UNIT ON; RUN SELF DIAGNOSTICS....HOLD FINGER OVER SENSORS WHEN MENU TELLS YOU TO.
This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
I had this exact problem when I had not used my camera for some time. For me the solution was to take out the flash card, and turn on the camera while pressing the flash button. This allowed me to run the self diagnostic test (which were ok by the way), and then after turning the camera off and on again it worked!
If there is a memory card inside the cad slot, take it out first. Open the camera. When the "high temperature camera" error appears, after it goes off, "BLOW AIR INTO THE CARD SLOT BESIDE THE CAMERA SEVERAL TIMES. I have blown air manually by my mouth. Then you can put back the memory card back or you can just simply Turn-ON sa camera. See if it work. It works fine for my CX7530 (i got this idea thru trial & error). Stupid kodak service center won't help, they just want to service my camera for almost half the price that i bought mine, & even suggested that i should buy a new one. I hope this works for you. ----kodak camera user from the Philippines.
