Question about Nike Lance 4 Wrist Watch

1 Answer

My Nike 4 lance watch needs a new watch band and a battery. In the past I've returned the watch to Nike for these services, are they still available?

Ahhhh, the nike 4, in collaboration with Lance armstrong.

Good choice of watch.

Unfortunately with this watch, came a 2 year warranty period, so unless you can prove your purchase date within this period, it will be a cost involved.

I hope this answers your question.

When i changed the battery the watch says error so cannot set time battery lite flash on of recall button seems not to be all the way out out watch is lance 4 thanks

hi,
Press and hold 4 buttons on the four corners at the same time for 3 seconds to reset the watch after battrey replacement. check the last page of the manual for the same.

http://www.nike.com/timing/extranet/product/os_alticomp/osac_manual_eng.pdf

If it doesn't help then try another new battrey.
OK

I have a Triax Speed 50 Nike watch and the local jewelry store would not change the battery because the possibilty of damaging the wrist band that needs to be removed. Any instructions on how I can change...

You can't change it yourself without doing damage. You will need to send into Nike or more accurately an authorized nike watch repair center that is close to you hopefully.

Nike customer service or a google search for authorized nike watch repair in XXX-city will get one close to you.

I own the nike. Lance 4 watch . The wrist band conection to the titanium watch is brooken, where can I buy the part to fix it. Help me I love this watch

Hi,
Mine has done the same. i was looking at this site for the same repair, but i thought it should be quite easy to do ourselves. Simply use a high strength loctite and clamp it in position tightly for a few hours.
I'll let you know how it goes. (It's a bad design - a weak press fit). If the loctite fails then i'll try a metal bonding adhesive.

Band has come loose on my Lance 4 watch

Gluing objects together can be difficult as the area of contact needs to be large and the applied forces must be such that they do not tend to peel the surfaced off each other.

Try an impact adhesive (a suitable cleaner is available).

I need a replacement band for my Lance 4 watch.

Go to a watch repair shop or a flea mkt and they are alot of vendors that can find one for you that can match the watch and also change the pins for free and it rather cheap.

Replacement band for nike watch wa0018 oregon alt

I wear the smaller, womens' version of the Nike Oregon. Nice watch. I was attracted to it by the replaceable battery feature, but found out the strap goes long before the battery and the joy of ownership goes out the window with the price of Nike wrist-band replacement. I held onto my broken banded watch for awhile, and came up with a solution. First, don't try removing the screws that secure the watch-band pins. Not sure how they work, but I tried several times without luck. Even had a jeweler look at it without success.

I went to Kohl's and purchased a black velcro Timex replacement band for $8. Again this is the for the smaller version of the Oregon. The width of the timex band in 3/4". It includes a elastic band to secure the watch. This elastic band runs under the back of the watch and over the two pins. It is secured to a faux leather tab (with emblems), which is in turn attached to the velco band. Using a razor knife, I detached the faux leather pad from the velcro band and ran it under the watch pins, then reattached it with a touch of Gorilla glue. Be careful to wipe off any excess as Gorilla glue expands as it dries. Finally I blacked out the Timex advertising with a black felt permanent marker.

No reason to think this wouldn't work on the larger, mens' version of the same watch.
