Check the electronic defrost control. Also check the damper door, if equipped. The unit will have to be unplugged and defrosted, then the defrost control board will have to be replaced. Since I don't have a model number, I don't know your setup. Sometimes the defrost control is on the main control board. Good luck, and hope this helps.

Model MCBR415SF, small fridge approx. 4 yrs old. There is no defrost, just turn to 0 to turn off.I cannot take any panels off the fridge.they blew insulation in when wet and dried to outer panels like concrete.According to schematic.Runs from main power to door switch for light to thermostat to overload protector to solenoid to starter switch for compressor. The fridge is up North so Im going off the top of my head,so I think that was the order.

Fridge warm, freezer has frost on back panel & is defrosting, fans work, just changed defrost thermostat, no air is moving from freezer side to fridge side, drain pan under fridge is dry

this fan needs to run when the compressor runs, check fan blade for being jammed by ice if you have this much ice on back wall as ice will stall motor,if no fan there will be no cool air to refrige compartment also the defrost drain tray will fill with water then freeze over which in turn floods the freezer floor and refrige compartments cause it cannot drain to the pan in the bottom

The temperature is to low in my freezer

If you have already tried the thermostat either in the fridge part or on the outside and it doesn't change the thermostat may need changing as if it doesn't tell the compressor to stop making it cold, then the whole freezer just keeps getting colder until the compressor breaks.

Try the thrmostat and if it doesn't work get a service engineer out to fix it.

Shouldn't be too expensive.

GOOD LUCK

I have a 30 year old fridgidere top freezer refridgerator and the fan in the freezer keeps stopping first it sounds like it is hitting something then it stops and if I turn off the fridge for a day and...

This is a pure case of the AUTO DEFROST timer having a fault or the THERMOSTAT being weak.
The fan is hitting onthe frost that is building up after a couple of days. When you shut the fridge all frost goes off to clear the fan , the frost then build up gradually as the timer does not activate the auto defrost or the thermostat is cutting off the fridge as it runs on.
So get these two parts checked and changed. Inthe first place ccheck the timerr, normally at the rear bottom.
