Try unplugging the power cord for router for 10 full seconds, then connect it back in. Wait a few minutes and then try it.

The light stays on whether it is plugged in or unplugged.

Try going to bottom right hand of the screen, right click on the internet icon, go to properties, go to repair connection and see if that helps.
Another thing that may help is turning of wireless lan and turn back on.
Or try updating the drivers for your internet card.

Lost internet connection, verizon guess was the card was bad

First thing are all the micro-filters installed and in the correct direction? If they are then it sounds like your DSL signal is borderline and when the phone rings it is getting knocked out. If that is the case you will need a tech to come out and test the line.

Inspiron 6400 wirless connection

HI
If the browser shows working offline and wireless is connected fine then it could be an issue where work offline is checked in the browser.
In internet explorer 6 its found on File in the menu, if work offline is already checked, check it again to remove the check mark and then try, if its internet explorer 7 its found on tools, the same steps and in firefox under file,
Also try this step as well, if its internet explorer go to tools-internet options-and in internet options-go to connections tab-there is dial up and networking box-remove the dial up connections from the box-and check the one never dial a connection

also check the firewalls and antivirus programs, post your results.

thank you
