2,2 error is short protection in this model.

WHAT IT MEANS IS ONE OF THE TWO FUSES THAT PROTECT THE CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT IS BLOWN; This model uses 2 of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE chips---

I have photos of the fuses etc--fuses and chips are located on the middle circuit board which would have to be removed to repair. I also have step by step start to finish instructions for this repair in this model.

If the parts needed are purchased on EBAY (I can tell you the name of a seller there) total parts cost is under 25 dollars and repair takes about one hour.

Many shops will not do this repair in the home and most will get 250 plus for it not counting pickup and delivery.

How handy are you? I can post the instructions and photos here if you respond to this answer by "add a comment".

that tv set is only good enough to receive a 1080i signal at the DTV INPUT. unless you can change the output of the blue ray it will be outputting 1080p

Something related to the video boards. Check all inputs first, then check ribbon cables to the video board. Be careful of high voltage if you open the cover.

I have a mitsubishi ws-65807. I have no picture or sound. It used to work.
try the self check this model has, try to turn set on and when green power light comes on and goes off press and hold both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

This is a self-check this model has----the power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.


The idea here was to narrow down what area the problem is in.

Let me know with a comment here and I will tell you what the error code you found means.

I am getting the 2, 2, error with my Mitsubishi WS-65807. I have read that this is an easy fix with the convergence. Any help would be amazing. I'm not really big on fixing TV's

My ws-65807 wont turn on or stay on. shop vaked the board and looked at the fuse and the fuse looks fine. is there anything else I can do?
do the self check if it comes on for a moment and then the power light goes off.

On the front of the set hold both the MENU and INPUT(also called DEVICE) together for at least five seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light will blink an error code--for example 2 blinks a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat it several times. 2,2 is the most common error code for this set.

Our tv comes on and then the picture goes dead
WS-65807 has a self check feature. If the power light comes on and goes out after a few seconds engage the self check:

On the front of the set press and hold BOTH the Menu and Input(or Device) buttons at the same time and hold them for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light should then blink a two digit error code--the most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--this is the most easy to fix. The set will repeat the error code several times.....

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means and what may be wrong.

Mitsubishi WS 65807 issue- Pressing power button turns unit on for about 5 seconds and then the power shuts off. Unplugged for about 30 seconds and disconnected it from all other equipment, reconnected...
The model you have selected should have a self check feature: when turns off and the green power light goes off:

ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS AND HOLD BOTH MENU AND INPUT(some sets the input is called device) together for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

The power light should blink a two digit error code: for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code about 10 times.

error codes for this set:

1, then 2 no error detected
2, then 1 X-ray protection
2, then 2 short protection
2, then 3 deflection circuit problem
2, then 4 vertical deflection problem


2, then 2 is the most common and easiest to fix.

Let me know what you find and if 2,2 I have detailed instructions for repairing that kind of trouble.

I replaced the pico fuses and the convergence IC's. fuses poped right away code 22 . Further inspection of the board showed the coolant had leaked out of the center projector and fried the board. Not willing to pay $300. Passed it on to someone else
