Hello,

Welcome Back

You can simply buy a product to do this and most certainly will work if your tv does have a scart connection.

Here is a link to a example of a product that will work:

http://www.amazon.com/Lake-Converter-compatible-Windows-S-Video/dp/B00351VWKI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280277383&sr=8-8

Click the link above allow me to also give you a picture and a mental note.

Here are some pictures with diagrams to help you:

how can i connect my - 5ec29c4.jpg0cd99a0.jpg
Hint you can also use the RCA for the TV instead of a projector! So the diagram is really a guide to help you in your situation and not to be taken seriously as to it only can go to a projector. You would use a scart connection or what its called RCA the yellow one the other two will not be used as those are for sound. This cable you can buy at radio shack for under $1.50 a foot.

Thanks a whole buch for your questions and I hope my answers do help you in your issue. You may reply to me or you may press the accept button for my efforts.

Thanks

Because you got to down convert from VGA to scart you do need a box. Now you can aslo find these on ebay for under $20 bucks I was just giving you a idea!

Because of the down conversion the box will be needed now if you had a newer TV!! with a VGA port this box is made in that TV make sense?

Newer tv's have a VGA input on the side witch you still will need a long vga cable witch still runs about $25 bucks respectivly. You cannot just take a VGA to scart without down conversion.

Ebay I have seen them for under $20 bucks you might want to check over there.

    Thanks

I found something but its a risk and is untested, Click here

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NW-VGA-SVGA-TV-S-VID...

Do not shoot the messenger if it does not work now. But this supposed to connect and convert a vga to svideo and scart.

    Thanks

As long as your laptoop's video card has TV out support witch it might now have due to rechecking you specs this may or might not work

    link to the product HERE

The product will need again a long enought cable from the tv to the laptop witch still going to cost you something. $40 bucks is a little high for what I was talking about the unit was like $24 and change FREE ship witch was not bad. Now this conversion above is $under 5 bucks$ but might be a waste of your time.

thank for using fixya.com I hope we have helped you.

Your recorder is mostly analogue with just a hdmi output, you need to link up using a scart lead or similar adapter lead for recording, looks to me like scart 1 (decoder) or the front sockets for input use while. the other scart looks to be just for TV to use.
If your TV has another hdmi then I would have thought your sky sat would connect that way leaving the scart for your video.
Though if it has only one, then you are looking at a multi input box for hdmi (some are automatic others have remote control) or demote your video's hdmi lead and connect it to the Sky sat, use the scart lead to link it with the video's scart 1 and the other scart socket to TV by the look of things.
Its a problem with older and younger equipment because they are built at different times with their connections decided by that time of manufacture.

Hope this helps..........

How to connect Sky digibox & DVD recorder to Samsung UE46ES6300 TV

Buy 2 hdmi leads and use one to connect sky TV decoder to the hdmi 1 socket on the back of the TV and if your DVd recorder has an hdmi socket attach it to hdmi 2 or leave it on the scart socket
as you don't name your dvd recorder the connections available are unknown
hdmi is the best followed by component which requires a 3 cable lead 3 video (video is red green blue plugs ) audio is red and white which is a 2 wire lead which all are needed to get video and audio to your TV
scart is the lowest quality along with composite video

I have a Toshiba 3387DB TV and am trying to connect it to my laptop. Tried to use DVI (out of laptop) to RGB phonos cable. Then through a scart adapter into the Scart 1 socket at back of TV. Manual says...

You need to convert the component sync signals into a composite sync compatible with SCART. The red, green and blue signals can be connected through as-is.

I can't seem to get it to record any shows off my t.v.

the hdmi connections are input only.
if the tv has scart sockets on the back, and the recorder also, connect to these. the tv's scart needs to be either 2 way or out put shown with an arrow pointing out of a box for output and a 2way arrow for 2way scart.usually scart socket 2 is 2way. set the recorder as you would normally but set the channel to tye av or scart that you are using. please note that video plus will not work on the scart socket. you may also have to set the output for the scart socket via the menu.

Where do i plug the different leads in the back of my tv i havn,t got a yellow port for the yellow connecter

What sort of tv do you have, is it new? If its new it may well have an Hdmi connection which gives you the sweetest graphics....
If your tv is older you probs have a scart connection, the yellow lead carries the video signal, some tv's have three little socket that the red yellow and white leads plug into if you cant find anywhere to plug it in you will need one of these , a scart adaptor
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120439215212&category=11319&refid=store
(thats just an example of what one looks like, you can buy them all over)
THe red white and yellow cables plug into the scart adaptor which usually plugs in the back of your tv, done

Hi, I have a Denon PMA320. I would like to connect it to a Hitachi 32LD6200 TV. How do I get the sound from the TV through the amp please? Many thanks, RichT

If the TV has audio out jacks then you can connect them via a lead to the amp. If not the you can use a scart socket. You can get a scart plug with audio and video RCA jacks on the other end of it and connect that to the amp. If the TV has only one scart and you are using it for a video or DVD device, get a scart adapter with more than one socket.

Connecting to tv

Use the TV's remote-control to select "input" from the S-Video port, rather than from the TV's own tuner (or from your cable-box).

Connecting a T22 Laptop to a Matsui television

you’ll need two outputs on your laptop that are typically found on most: the first is a small round yellow socket usually found on the back of your laptop, which is the S-video socket. The other socket you need is either a line out (unlikely) or headphones socket (more likely). You also need a TV with the correct inputs, which will ultimately decide which cables you need. The solution you decide on will be determined by your budget, and the prices and codes below are taken from here, so shop around and you may get a better bargain locally or online.

First, you need two separate cables for video and audio: S-video to S-video (£3.60, 35551), and Stereo 3.5mm plug to 2x RCA plugs (£2.80, 35491). Both cables are two metres long and longer cables are also available from the same site. Your TV will require either equivalent S-video and RCA audio inputs or a SCART socket - if it only has the latter, you’ll also need a SCART adapter (£3.25, 35570).

Once done, plug them all in and switch your TV on, switching to the A/V channel. If nothing appears, open the Display Properties Control Panel, switch to the Settings tab and click Advanced. Look for a Display tab or something similar where you’re able to switch on the S-video port to enable the laptop’s display to route through the TV. Finally, when watching DVD movies (you’ll need a DVD player to do so), look for the option to run them full screen, so you get the best possible picture from your TV.

TV, freeview, DVD and video set up.

Hi.
Modern day freeview boxes rarely have A modulator in them so you can not tune it to a channel on your tv it must be connected using scart lead.
Most freeview boxes have 2 scart sockets one for VCR & one for TV plug your scart leads in to the scart sockets of freeview they will be labled TV & VCR.
The scart labled TV goes to scart socket on the TV labled AV1 or 1
The scart labled VCR goes to scart socket on VCR labled AV or IN
Now the aerial leads From wall socket to ANT in on freeview.
Then from RF out on freeview to ANT in on VCR.
Then RF out on VCR to ANT in on TV doing this will enable you to put TV on 9 to watch tapes.

The final scart will be from DVD to TV socket marked AV2

You will need to put TV on AV channel to view freeview.
To record freeview you must put VCR to EITHER line.av,aux. it will be one of those different manufacturers call them by varying names.
I have done this banking on your tv having 2 scart sockets if it only has 1 let me know & I will tell you how to wire it differently.
Please state make & model of TV set & VCR & what connections are available EG scart, Phono, Svhs etc.
