Question about Yahoo Mail

First you need to close the Yahoo messenger. As if login with it then the webpage of Yahoo will show you offline for chat..
Otherwise just login in Yahoo messenger and to any contact, double click on contact and find if you are able to chat with it then everything is OK.
Let me know in either case, we will resolve the issue ASAP.

New mode of Yahoo mail use a technology that is "AJAX", this technology at first load all thing (such as mail, sent mail, options and...) in cache and then use them quickly (like Gmail). But this technology has some problems inside that one of them is something like what you said.
Of course it also depends on your connection line.But at all it has some problem.It's not yours!
If you want to use this new mode I can suggest you to tect other browsers like safari, firefox and ... .Maybe they work better!

alot of the times, just going into internet options and setting everything to default, and clearing the cookies and files works about 50% of the time.
This is possibly a yahoo issue. If you use yahoo thru ATT, you can call ATT for support and they will escalate any valid issues to yahoo for you.

ask for tech support at the prompt
they can remote on your computer to see if it is a java issue or whatever
if they can replicate it on their computer also, they will create a yahoo trouble ticket and give you thier member service number. Yahoo resolves 85% of these within 48 hrs.
If they cant replicate it, then they will consider it a pc issue and refer you to connect tech or to best buy's geek squad.
Personally, I would also try sending emails in safemode, If you can do it in safemode, and not in reg mode, it is definately PC related.
To get to safemode, turn your computer off and when you turn it back on, tap the F8 button until you get an advanced screen. Pick safemode with networking with the arrow keys. Log in, click yes when it tells you you're running in safemode, and then when your on your desktop, which will look alot differnt, black background with big icons, click on internet explorer and go to mail.yahoo.com and see if it works now, if it does, like i said, its pc related. If it still cant, call ATT's support if you have thier DSL or U-Verse

Yahoo allows a total of 5000 contacts in their webmail interface check out if you have more than 5000 contacts and if you do then start using an email client to save your contacts hence forth. You can use windows live mail or outlook which have to limitation of the number of contacts that can be saved onto your computer.
