You may need to download service pack 2 from microsoft. Windows updates only the components you have already installed.
Download sp2, extract it to a folder, then point your app to this folder (or one of the subfolders that are formed when you extract it)
If your windows is not already sp2, then update it. (Right click 'My Computer' then choose 'properties'; it should specifically state ServicePack 2 in the System section).

Hello I don't believe you have a problem with the camera or the cable. It sounds like the drivers are not working properly. Here is a link you can use to download the driver for your camera. Below are the steps:

http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn027990.jhtml?pq-path=1211

1 Choose your operating system
2 Hit the download button
3 Hit download on the new page if you have a pop-up blocker
4 Select Save
5 Locate the file, double click and hit run
6 Follow on-screen instructions

If this fails, you can always remove the memory card from the camera and plug that into your computer(if you have a slot), if not, here is a link to buy some:

http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=external+memory+card&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=memory+card+slot+external&_osacat=0

Hope this helps

Here is the location for your "Getting Started Guide" and "User's Guide." You can view them as PDF or as a Web Page.

Page 21 of the PDF document in the User's Guide shows a picture on how to install the wire and where to install the wire.

Hope this helps, if it does please give me a ranking, thanks!

I am trying to download software for quickcam pro 9000 and I get a message saying internal erroe 2738

Vista for some reason doesn'tregister VBScript. What you have to do is first of all find wherevbscript.dll is, mine is in C:WindowsSystem32, but I think itchanges dependent on your version. Next you need to go to start ->accessories and then right click on command prompt and click "run asadministrator", next type "cd C:WindowsSystem32" (replace the directory/path ifits different for you) and then type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". It shouldthen confirm that vbscript has been registered and everything shouldwork.

If that does not work, try a clean install.
The following instructions willwalk you through this process:
  1. Remove the older software.
a. Unplugthe device from the computer. Later you will be prompted by the softwareto plug in the device; do so at that time only.
b. Openthe Windows Control Panel.
c. Openthe Add / Remove Programs window.
d. Locatethe listing for the device software/driver and remove it. When prompted toremove the device files, click Yes.
e. Locateany other device software/driver and remove it as well.

Now download the latest version of QuickCam for your OS from here:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3056&cl=us,en

To Boot Clean in Windows Vista:
Accessing the System Configuration Utility:
1. Click Start and select ControlPanel

2. Uncheck Load Startup Items
3. Select the Services tab
4. Check Hide all Microsoftservices

6. Click on OK
7. Click Restart.

Install the downloaded device driver/software.After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing thefollowing:
1. Click Start and select ControlPanel
2. Click System and Maintenance
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double click System Configuration
5. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
6. Click Ok
7. Click Yes, whenasked to restart your computer

FOR WINDOWS XP:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart

After restarting, reinstall the downloaded software. Next, do the following:

PNY SDHC 4GB memory card

Hey Teelo,
I would try reinstalling your software, or updating your drivers. You could also try getting a card reader that connects to a USB port and try transferring your images with that instead of connecting the camera directly to the computer. I also have included a link to the manufacturer where you can download the latest version of your software, and troubleshoot your issue if still needed. I hope this helps!

Error - Kernel32.dll

Microsoft defines Kernel32 errors as follows: "The Kernel32.dll file is a 32-bit dynamic link library file that is found in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millenium Edition (Me). The Kernel32.dll file handles memory management, input/output operations, and interrupts. When you start Windows, Kernel32.dll is loaded into a protected memory space so that other programs do not take over that memory space. On occasion, you may receive an invalid page fault (IPF) error message. This error message occurs when a program tries to access the Kernel32.dll protected memory space. Occasionally, the error message is caused by one particular program, and other times the error message is provoked by multiple files and programs."
