I have the same juicer and it works great. I dread the cleanup though. To take the mesh strainer out, you push down and turn the casing clockwise then pull the stainer up. Easier said then done I know but that' how the directions read. The makers forgot to put in, Pull the stainer straight up with everything you have.
Hope this helps.

The pulp is quite wet after juicing 2 cups juice. Can you pinpoint the reason?

Let it spin for a 2 or three minutes after juicing. You
can also, slowly, pour a little water down the chute to
leach out more juice and dilute it as well. Also hold
the basket up to the light to see if some of the holes
have become clogged and use a tooth brush to clear
them. If you're using the filters, just rely on the basket
alone, it's not that hard to clean.

Cleaning after juicing

It's easy. Scoop out the pulp with your hand and
then under running warm water sponge the outside
first and mop up the inside next. Keep rotating the
basket as you clean. If the juicer becomes discolored
after a while, boil the parts in a solution of Oxi Clean
and water, then scrub. She will look like new.

How do you open the acme juicerator to clean out the extract

I have a 1962 manual which might be too old but here's what it says: When juicing is completed, simply remove the spring-clamp top, unscrew the wing nut or spring clutch that holds down the cutter blade, and all parts to be cleaned may be lifted from the base. Bowl and top, being non-porous, similar to glass, require only rinsing. Blade should be washed under running water, using a stiff brush. Since the basket is made of stainless steel, it, too, cleans easily. After taking out the the pulp, let cold water run on the outside of the basket while you brush the perforated section. Any remaining particles of pulp will be loosened and can be removed with a damp sponge or by rinsing. Dry and reassemble for next use. Turn machine on and let run a few seconds.
Hope this is of some help.

There should be a lug nut in the center that loosens so you can take the blade, basket & outer basket out to clean.

On the stainless steel basket notice a notch cut out on the rim above the spout and an indentation on the back of the basket near the rim. The plastic ring must snap on to the steel basket before placing the assembly on the motor housing. If it does not snap on, it is not fully seated. After the ring is seated and on the motor base, push the basket on and spin it. Confirm that the basket clears the ring. Place the top cover with feed tube over the unit and lock the two clips down. This procedure should solve your problem.
