Mcdevito75 here, Best bet, Look for any appliance repair center in your area for replacement electrical line. If your handy yourself or know a handy person, simply match up the electrical cord with another at your local hardware store, Splice the new cord into the old one.

My dog chewed through the power cord. Can I replace this part without having to buy a whole new one? It's not mine someone was letting me borrow it.

You should be able to find a replacement at a hardware store. Take the plug end with you to get any assistance in determining the cord wire guage.

My dog chewed the plug completely off my Bissell vacuum, model 61C5-W. Can I fix it myself, and where can I find the replacement cord?

The power cord should be a standard 3 wire cord. Any hardware store. Just buy the length you want. You will have to remove some covers/plastics to get to where the cord connects inside the vacuum. Look for screws holding panels in place. Once inside, you'll see how the cord is attached. Just replace the old with the new. Not critical which of the flat prong wires goes to + and - but be sure the ground wire (usually copper) goes to the ground screw and not a hot connection.

My dog just chewed up the cord to my heated mattress pad. Where can I find a replacement without having to buy a whole new matress pad?

I could suggest that you replace the cord which can be done BUT for something that you sleep on that plugs into a wall socket I would strongly suggest you buy a new one. If you replace the cord and make a mistake you will not be around to wish you had bought a new one but you family and friends will.

Dog chewed off the plug. Can I replace the plug or do I have to replace the entire power cord? Or is the mop trash?

You should be able to replace the plug, just follow the instructions on the replacement plug to insure you wire the proper polarity. Otherwise, you could create a potential for a shock. Not a good thing with a wet mop.

Dog chewed the electric plug

Your local appliance shop should be able to hook you up with a replacement cord. Slicing another cord onto the existing cord would nullify the UL listing for the appliance, void your homeowners policy, and would probably put you in line for a Darwin Award. In addition, beating a poor dumb animal with a power cord like the other guy suggested is just plain cruel.

Dog chewed cord on bissell model 6579-2 how do I replace it?

You can cut the bad section of wire out of the cord, cut the insulation on the cord to get to the wires. Match your colors, strip the insulation from the individual wires and twist together. Wrap each wire with electrical tape (making sure no wire is exposed, can be a fire hazard), then wrap the cord with electrical tape. The cord will be a little shorter, but should work fine.

My dog chewed through my e machine f1770 power cord and i cannot disconnect the cord from the monitor to replace?

Hello,

You can buy replacement in the vendor of your computer. just bring sample to them. However you can do fixing the wire one by one by following the color coding of the cord.

My dog chewed through the power cord (luckily unplugged). Are there replacement parts available and I can't seem to find out to detach the cord from the unit.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are replacement parts available for the replacement of the power cord and to check your owner’s manual to see the schematics of the replacement of the cord. You can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or you can call cust serv @ Bissell @ the phone # listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
