Hello,

yes of course, there is a fuse. Trace the fuse firstly from the wall plug. Then trace the wire that comes from the AC outlet into the electric range.

You should find a fuse inside the unit, exactly where the AC outlet enters on the unit.

The fault is obviously a blown fuse.

Good luck.

I have a Kenmore electric smooth top range that I cannot use the oven on.

it sounds like the clock assy. cooked or there's a shorted wire somewhere, did the bake element crack or short out?this also can take out the clock assy.if the part is 150 dollars that 's not bad, some of them cost 300 or more.good luck with your oven, also you should have an electrician come in and put the stove on it's own electrical line.

Hello mrstrini2 - Do you have an electric or gas range? Most fault codes consist of both letters and numbers. Could you provide me the code to better address the issue at hand?

1999 Crown turned ignition switch to start - heard pop - no electrical power

If nothing works including the lights, something happened between the battery and the fuse box.
There are some fuseable links between the battery and the starter solenoid or between the solenoid and the fuse box.
I'd start with the battery cables and look for those fuseable link wires.

We had a power outage and now the oven will not come on. cannot set clock etc.

Have you checked your breaker box? It could be that the breaker for the range popped to the off position. If the breaker is still on, try carefully unplugging the range, leaving it unplugged for a few minutes, then plugging it back in.

Electric range heard a loud bang then it went dead

I WOULD DISCONECT THE POWER AND REMOVE THE BACK PANNELS AND LOOK FOR A SHORTED WIRE OR A BURN MARK ON THE BOARD. ALSO CHECK WHERE THE CORD ATACHES TO THE STOVE. GOOD LUCK!

Fixed power cord, clock works, doesn't heat

SkyKing, are you handy with a meter? sounds like you are losing a leg of power here. Check for voltage at the terminal block (where the cord hooks up. You should read, 120V from left to center, 120V from right to center and 240V across the two outer terminals. Check this first and post back. Catriver.
