Hi,
The thermostat has gone bad or the refrigerant charge is low...check the thermostat to make sure that it is calling for the refrigeration system to run, make sure power is getting to the compressor and then make sure the compressor is cooling properly...
If compressor is running them the t-stat is okay and there is a problem there....is it is cycling on and off then the t-stat is bad.....
if it is running continuously then you probably have a refrigerant leak...it needs to be found, fixed, and the system recharged...

Product in mix hopper freezes adj. is all the way min.794 taylor

Adjustment for hopper temp is center small blue dial on left touch control panel. Marked mix. Counterclockwise is warmer. If it's both hoppers freezing up and that's turned warmer, probably the thermistor probe. If it's just the left, low on refrigerant. There's a leak.

I have a 754 Taylor soft serve machine and the mix freezes up on one side in the bin

I am assuming that it is the left side that is freezing up? Is there a large disparity in temperature from the left side to the right? Your machine monitors the temperature on the right side hopper and that will determine the temp of both sides. If there is a large temperature difference between the two sides then it may be that you are low on refrigerant. You may have enough refrigerant to cool the left side but not the right side and since the machine only monitors the right side, it wont shut off the mix refrigeration system which could cause the left side to freeze up.

WHAT IT MEANS R-HPR THERMAL FAIL FOR TAYLOR ICE CREAM MACHINE MODEL C713

That code means the right side hopper thermistor probe has failed. That is the sensor that reads the temperature of product in the mix hopper.

This is the part you need:

If you order it from us, I would be happy to put a technician on the phone to help you install it yourself.

I have a Taylor C713 Ice Cream Machine. IT has been working great until a few days ago. We had it in standby overnight and when we came back the next morning, the ice cream in one side was rotten from...

Those are symptoms of the mix refrigeration system being undercharged. You will need a refrigeration technician to add refrigerant.

In Taylor soft serve machines when the left side hopper (standing in front of the machine) is icing up and the right side hopper is not cold enough, the problem is low refrigerant in that system. It takes R134A.

I have a Taylor 794 soft serve machine. The left side is too soft.

Viscosity adjustments should not have to be made frequently on these machines. If you change products a lot, such as flavors of yogurt, minor adjustments may be required. If your machine uses 3 phase electricity and it machine has been moved or any electrical work performed you may want to check the beater rotation, the beater should rotate clockwise inside the barrel viewing from the front, if you look at the gear box from the back, the pulley should be turning clockwise as well. Otherwise, there is a fine tuning potentiometer on the control, you must remove the front cover to see it. Clockwise is colder/thicker. I recommend small adjustments. It is best to read the amp draw on the motor to see what type of amps it is drawing. If your mix is soft and your motor is drawing 4 amps, you may have another type of problem such as a bad motor. The board and control can also fail giving these problems. There are many things to check in addition to these. Hope this will help you get started.

That's a low mix light. It tells you that you don't have very much ice cream mix left in the hopper. There is a sensor in there that when no mix is touching it, it turns that light on.
