SOURCE: Speakercraft DBB12100 Amplifier, Circuit problem

Sounds like its a problem with over heating. open unit clean out all dust and dust bunnies wich compressed air. check that all fans are opperating. (fans on 6x100 amp units or thermal controled). If amp goes into protection prior to fans turning, there is your answer. the @ power supplies will have a green light on the output side. if the light in on power supply is good. or you can check that the output voltage is at 48Vdc on both units.

How do I hook up a microphone to a Speakercraft MZC-66?

This unit accepts LINE LEVEL audio signals only. You cannot attach a low level microphone directly to this unit. First, it doesn't have the correct inputs for a direct connection. However, you can use a microphone pre-amp that will accept the appropriate jack for the mic and it will provide a line level output for the Speakercraft. You would have to choose one of the inputs on the MZC such as CD, or source.

Hi can anyone help, i have a speakercraft mzc64 and need to use some premade cat5 patch leads to hook it up, i know the wiring is not standard,,,asny ideas please

What are you using the CAT5 for - speakers or Line Level?

Lamp cord would work (cheap) for the speakers and there's no reworking necessary. I wouldn't pass Line Level on CAT5, ever.

Got this amp 3 years ago but never opened the box before today. I hooked it up but now it wont turn on and the fuse is fine. ?? Thanks,

If you know how to use a Volt meter, measure the DC outputs of the power supply. The power supply section might have a cold soldered connection that opened due to none use.
