I can play all region DVD'S on my panasonic but region 1 discs all come out in black and white. Any ideas on how to make them colour?

All my dvds play in black and white ever since my friends kids played with the remote and the buttons on the front of the machine.

GuruIs region 1 PAL? If so, and you attempt to display onto NTSC machine, you will get black and white.
