If you cant find the jumper on the motherboard, unplug the computer and remove the coin cell battery on the board for about 10 seconds and then put it back in. Replug the computer in and it should let you in.

Try leaving the password blank. If you didn't assign one it shouldn't be required.

I cannot get passed the front page

Turn the power on and immediately start pressing the F10 key onyour keyboard. This should open the BIOS setup screen. Look for a tab or page called Security. Look for an option there to cancel the password. Or, on the Exit page in the BIOS select Restore Defasult settings or possibly Restore Safe settings. Then click Save and Exit. The computer will restart, hopefully without needing a password.
If that fails you can always use a Windows install disc to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows. Or, use a Windows repair disk to "Refresh" Windows.

My macbook pro was givin to me by mu uncle who just pass away.. on the on opening screen there is the Apple logo.. then MAC OS X and it asking for a pass word, How do i find out what the pass is or can i...

This page right here explains it courtesy of Apple.

Since you don't know the administrator password then your going to need your original Mac OS X install disc.

On that page go to:
Resetting the original administrator account passwordThat will explain how to reset it with the MAC OS X install disc. If you don't have the disc, you'll need to get a hold of Apple and get a hold of a Genius to get that password off of there.

Ive got a g4 tower plus installation discs but do not know the local admin pass word as i bought it second hand is there any way for me to reset the computer and passwords ? pls help!

You don't need the admin password to restore a Mac from its installation discs. Insert the disc, then hold down the C key as you are starting up, to boot from the disc instead of the hard drive. Continue with complete restoration of the original machine contents.

apples way to unlock if you boot off the original restore/OS disc and select reset password only . you may get away with using another OS9 or OSx disc, but apples are picky and want the original disc.
or you can bring it in and get it reset at the apple store for around $130-$200
here is apples linked process

Emachine laptop hard disc is password protected

If it is a hard drive password, you don't. You will have to install a new hard drive, reload the operating system and all device drivers.

Alright, if I understand you...You possibly lost the original operating system disc for your HP Pavilion, and your daughter used a Windows XP restore disc, and now it is asking you to register the software?

AND you also lost the set-up software for your Internet provider?

No pass word

If you have the original restore disk you can use that, if not - what operating system is it? Windows/Linux? XP, 2k, etc? I can guide you how to fix the problem.
