I'm trying to figure out if my curling iron is compatible with the voltage in Spain & Italy. It states 125V/250V & has a "UL Listed" symbol on it.

Hi yes it will be fine it clearly states it will work at 125 volts and 250 volts which 240 volts in uk and 120 in rest of europe all your going to need is the plug adapter so it fits into the plug sockets where ever your going.

so you will be ok, you wont be shocking any one,

it will work exactly the same as it would normally it has a reducer inside that reduces the power down from 250 to 120 so this will work in basically any country in the world, you could even run it off a generator. so you will have no problems

I am re-wiring an outlet in my garage that normally goes to an electric dryer. I want it to have 30 amp 120V. Do I just leave off the red wire? And don't they make a 4 hole recepticle that will accept...

Yes on the red wire. I don't know of a 4 hole receptacle but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Do you also plan to change your breaker? You'll need to disconnect the red wire and cap it.

Here's a link to some instructions on how to do your project. Good luck!

Power cord issue? Black Screen with image issue?

The powere cord you are using is fine (the cord is made to handle the 10A load, you are only drawing 1.5A). The monitor uses switching mode power supply that can handle any voltage INPUT between 100v up to 240v. More likely to be bad caps in the power supply. See example of failed Westinghouse due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

6.3a slow-blow 125v fuse

Hi, If the fuse physically fits into your unit then it will work. However- - - WARNING! Although 6.3 amps on a 250v fuse will allow the current to flow it will not afford you the circuit protection you require for a 125v circuit. If the circuit develops a fault then there is a danger that you burn out the circuit before the fuse. As you have already blown one fuse I would suggest tracking down the fault before you do any thing else.

I can't find a 6.3 125v fuse

If you look on the board that the fuse sits on you will see printed it states 6amp 125 Volt / 3amp 250Volt. This means that you can use either one. I think that is why the fuse states E.6.3 125Volt... I think it means either 6 amp (125 Volt) or 3 amp (250 volt). I noticed on the back of a fuse package that I bought that it stated these were interchangable so I put two and two together.
