Your alternator output normally should fall around 14 volts to deliver a charge to your car battery. Car batteries can easily adapt to 2V, 10V and 50V from a battery charger and likewise an upgrade from 12V to 14V output would not hurt anything.

This conversion should be just fine. 12v bulbs start blowing at 18v and above so if it was me, sure, I would go for it if everything hooks up ok, good luck, Gary

Torque specs 03 kia spectra flywheel and clutch plate

Here are the torque specs for the flywheel and clutch plate on a 2003 Kia Spectra: Flywheel: 78 - 80 ft-lbs (106 - 112 Nm) Clutch plate: 19 - 21 ft-lbs (26 - 29 Nm) It is important to follow the torque specs carefully when installing the flywheel and clutch plate, as over-tightening or under-tightening can cause damage. Here are the steps on how to torque the flywheel and clutch plate on a 2003 Kia Spectra: Install the flywheel and clutch plate. Use a torque wrench to tighten the flywheel bolts to 78 - 80 ft-lbs (106 - 112 Nm). Use a torque wrench to tighten the clutch plate bolts to 19 - 21 ft-lbs (26 - 29 Nm). Reconnect the battery and start the engine. Check for leaks. If you are not comfortable tightening the flywheel and clutch plate yourself, you can take your Spectra to a qualified mechanic.

My 80 amp fuse blows everytime i hook up my battery

You have a 40amp fuse for the key switch, and the main component on the 80amp circuit is the alternator.
I would disconnect the alternator, hook up the battery without the fuse, and use a test light across the 80amp fuse terminals to see if the short has been removed.

My battery wont keek its charge, I have replace the alternator and put a new battery in and I am still having the same problem ,

somewhere in your wiring loom you have a short that is draining power from the battery when the car is not being used, have you checked the battery voltage when the car is not in use?, it should be just over 12v & when the car is running it should be over 14v, if it is still at just over 12v then the alternator or a wire that leads from the alternator to the battery is at fault

WHEN DOES KIA RECOMMEND TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

my rio and spectra are recomended at 75k a (as per the kia shop) and if you take them in to a kia shop they put a fear into you that the belt are going to break any minute.ive been meaning to look in the owners manuel my self but i have looked at the blue book value of both my 03 rio andmy 04 spectra $500 and $800 in fair conditon . i think im not going to worry about it the belt and my time to put it on will be worth more then the both of them together .with 100% certainty i did find were it says to inspect every 30,000miles and replace if neccary

the fluid is drained by removing the transmission pan located under the car. make sure you buy a transmission filter kit so you can change the filter and gasket. the trans fluid is added to the dipstick tube, where you have located the dipstick.

Battery and alternator

If your alt is putting out 12V you have a faulty alternator. A healthy alternator puts out 14v not 12v. The battery light doesn't indicate a bad battery, rather it indicates voltage is below 14v or 13v, depending on the vehicle.

With the vehicle running use a voltmeter at the alt and test for output voltage, if it's any where close to 12v you have a faulty alt and will need to be replaced.

You could also have a corroded/faulty/loose battery cable/s going from the alt to the starter/battery/alt.
