You can either replace the screen or you can work on your laptop with a broken screen. Replacing the laptop screen is quite costly depending on your laptop model and availability of your parts.

MacBook Pro took a drop, boots up but nothing on the screen.

The screen, the cable that connects to the screen or something internal has taken a hit. You'll need to get it serviced to find out which. Sorry, but there's not much diagnosis we can do from a distance.

Upside down screen on my Motorola Crush

I'm assuming your phone changes screen orientation when you tilt the phone. If so, there's a number of small devices called accelerometers that detect such movement, and one may be ****. This might sound a bit odd, but if you can remember what side of the phone hit the ground, smack the opposite side against a hard surface. You might be able to figure it out by where the scuffmarks are.
Example: If there's scuffmarks from being dropped, are on the bottom left corner, smack the top right corner against something.

PS2 was dropped, now disc won't spin and can't be read.

I just looked at a friend's PS2. Same story, tripped over cord, unit fell to floor. Unit powers up and sys. config. screen comes on but the drive didn't seem to be spinning up. Opened the case and found that the shaft of the drive motor for the laser tray had popped out of it's centering retainer ( little black bushing/holder). With the top off the unit, looking at the unit from the front, on the right side in the rear corner you'll see the motor. The worm shaft (bronze colored rod) runs towards the front of the unit. Where it ends it should sit centered in a black plastic holder, if it's off to the side a little pressure will pop it back in. Put the cover back on, and power it up, you should hear the drive spinning up. If it does you should be set. Hope this helps.

MacBook opening screen leaves a one inch black strip on both sides.

use the gray bar on top to move the screen to the upper left hand corner.  Then click and drag the bottom right portion of the screen to the size that you want it be.

1- click on top of the window on the title bar, while holding your left mouse button...move the window to the left until you see the right bottom corner about 1 inch from the right corner.

2 - click on the right bottom corner to resize the window and drag it all the way to the left about an inch away from the edge.

3-repeat step 1 until the window is back to normal size

Small bluish, black triangle at far right corner

This is the same problem as other posts have mentioned about the right side of the screen having a bluish-balck stripe down the side of the screen. Here's what's happening. There's a small light tunnel which has 4 very small mirrors located just behind the color wheel. The lamp shines light through the color wheel as it turns and the light goes through this small tunnel and is then relected off several mirrors before it is projected through the lens and onto the screen. Optoma apparently did not use a very good heat resistant expoxy glue when they assembled these mirrors and over time the mirrors drop down causing a shadow effect on the screen. It can be repaired without paying some repair shop a small fortune. Previous posts have a solution from another contributer whihc includes photos. I had to repair mine and it's worked fine since I used a decent expoxy to hold the mirrors.
