Try pressing the Flash Focus button on the TV to adjust the convergence of the TV and check if it helps.

I have a Nikon D80 (18-135mm). Just bought a couple of Quantaray filters. When I use the circular polarizer filter 67mm) in combination with the skylight 1A (67mm), I'm getting a dark shadow in the upper...

Okay, I think you're seeing the shadow of filter stack. If you put a lot of filters on the lens, you're in effect shrinking the field of view. Do enough of this and you'll lose the corners. Imagine holding a roll of toilet paper in front of the lens so you're seeing just a little round picture through the core. This won't matter at the longer focal lengths because you're only using the center of the image anyway, but it will become more pronounced as the focal length decreases.

The easy solution for now is to remove the skylight when using the polarizer. If you absolutely need to use two or more filters, then consider using larger filters with a step-up ring. You might also want to consider somthing like Cokin filters ( http://cokin.com/ ).

There is a shadow in the upper left corner of the screen

someone is going to have to look inside by either removing the rear upper part of the set or removing the entire front screen---neither is easy to do. But considering your trouble I would not be surprised if the mirror is cracked---the entire front screens would have to be removed to replace the mirror--special mirror and special handling--I have seen several break when someone is not careful putting in.

I have shadows on screen what could have caused this

any stagnant picture, a paused movie, a video game with certain things that stay in the same place, even the station identification bug in the corner, will burn images or shadows in all types of tvs

Image on tv casts a red shadow.

TRY THE MAGIC FOCUS BUTTON. IF THIS DOES NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM YOU WILL NEED A SERVICER TO GO IN AND REPAIR CONNECTIONS OR REPLACE THE CONVERGENCE IC'S AND OR RESISTORS. AND READJUST CONVERGENCE IN THE SERVICE MODE.

Canon efs17-85mm image stabilizer lens

This is called "vignetting". To me it sounds like your lens hood isn't mounted correctly. If you don't turn it on all the way, exactly this will happen, because the longer "leaves" on the hood shadows the edges of the frame.
So, try to turnt the hood all the way on. You might have to use a little bit of force, as the hoods can be hard to turn sometimes.
Hope this helps!

Projected image has a shadow in the corner

Most probably a water mark symbol...kind of thing(bcos of the comment by one guest, stating occurance of the problem commonly), why don't u write to the support for projetcor?

Also, if not within warranty, please do check for any dirt / paper tag / breakage of glass (are u sure they have replaced the unit, during the complaint for trans error)

Thick black Line on lower right corner of screen

Uh Oh! Your light engine has warped a little from overheating and is distorting the picture. These are defective models from Sony
Here is the lawsuit website: http://esupport.sony.com/sxrdsettlement

My suggestion to you is to get on the phone with Sony and start complaining, then keep complaining until they agree to pay for it. You may have to get the problem diagnosed by a pro before they agree to pay for it though.
Sorry for the bad news.
