I need reference to the circuit board in a Norelco 710 RL shaver in order to replace a burnt out resistor. thank you

I now have color photographs of the circuit board so that you can read the values on the resistors. If you want a copy send me an email at dnalawyer@gmail.com
I did find a new circuit board that solved the problem for me.
BTW I now get a good close shave by cleaning the shaving blade assembly well and removing all of the built up lint between the blades and the screens. I also found that there are 3 places to add a smidgeon of grease inside the razor body on the gear shafts.

SOURCE: Norelco shaver 6866XL won't charge, light glowsred

The battery is probably one with multiple cells and one (or more) of them has shorted preventing the total from reaching a voltage that appears as fully charged.
If the cells are Ni-Cads, this is a common problem with them and when a battery-operated item of mine fails, I replace those older types with NiMH cells if the battery compartment can accept them.
I have 'restored' countless NiCads over the years by 'zapping' them with a fairly high current for a second or two; voltage isn't important as long as it is in excess of 2-3 volts but the source should have a few amps capacity.
This type of cell grows 'whiskers' that will cause them to short completely or develop a path that causes them to self-discharge faster than normal.

SOURCE: I have a Braun model 7526 shaver and the batteries

You will need to first remove the 'cap' on the bottom of the shaver. This is a piece of plastic that surround the hole on the bottom of the shaver where the cord plugs in. Gently pry it off with a small flat screwdriver or similar object. Once removed, the side grips will simply pull off revealing 4 screws on the back. Remove screws to remove the back cover.
From there it is a piece of cake. The internal components simply lift out.
Put it back together in reverse order

Remove the 2 screws on the back and remove the back cover. This will allow you to access the inner cover that has 3 screws. Remove those screws and take off the inner back cover to access the battery. Be sure to read the NOTE concerning installation on that page
You will find the battery at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

To replace, you will need to remove the back cover by removing the two screws. You may need to extend the long hair trimmer to get to the second screw. Take off back cover to access inside. There are two metal clips that must be unhooked for better access. You can unsolder the batteries from the circuit board but for easier replacement, it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries with small needle nose pliers rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

If you are not able to do this yourself, you can have shaveroutlet.com do it for you. See link below

How to change batteries?

mcdevito75 here, There are 2 versions of batteries in Norelco shavers 1 system is where the batteries are soldered to a circuit board in which case you"d have to replace the shaver or find an appliance repair shop in your area, The 2nd is where you can replace the batteries your self but, you;ll need a set od torx screwdrivers available at any auto parts store, refer to Norelco online at Norelco.com for Battery replacement. Look for these torx screws on the back cover or by lifting the shaver head .

Replacing batteries in Norelco Razor 7886XL

Chris, All rechargable shavers have their battery(ies) soldered to the main circuit board inside the razor. In order to replace the battery(ies), you will need to disassemble the shaver by carefully removing the molded plastic cover(s) that hide the screws (which hold the shaver together). Sometimes located under the shaver head on certain Norelco models, others are under pressed in covers on the back and/or front.

Once you've done that, you have to be very careful not to dislodge any of the mechanical connections from the motor to the cutting heads. With the board exposed, you'll see the batteries, soldered to the circuit board via tabs that are heat staked to the batteries. Note which way the polarity (+ or -) are located on the board. Take a digital picture to make replacement and reassembly easier when you're putting everything back together.

Now with a pre-heated soldering iron, melt off the solder on the battery terminals and remove them quickly. Do not heat the tabs any longer than needed, so as to avoid possible damage to the circuit board. With the batteries removed, you might have to open up the thru-holes where the battery tabs go in, in order to get the new ones in place. Solder them into place and you're almost done.

Now reassemble the shaver and allow the shaver to recharge for at least 8 hours.

If you have any doubts about doing the repair yourself, you can have the shaver repaired by a service in Nebraska that specializes in replacement parts and service for all brands of electric shavers.

http://www.electricshaverstore.com/

They usually can turn around a repair in a week from reciept.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Battery replacement norelco t7500 shaver

If you know how to solder, it's easy to replace the rechargeable battery in the Norelco T7500 shaver, thanks its beautiful mechanical design: You just remove the single screw at the bottom, and the entire charging circuit board & battery simply slides out, still attached to the shaver by a folded ribbon cable!
Then, you just pop off the plastic shields, unsolder the battery, and solder in a new AA 1.2V NiCd solder-tail battery. Or, you can use a higher-capacity AA NiMH battery for a longer run-time, at the expense of fewer recharge cycles for NiMH.
In either case, dispose of old NiCd batteries properly: They contain cadmium, which is an environmental poison!
