Question about Sportline Solo 910M Heart Rate Watch

1 Answer

My watch won't turn on. I bought a battery but it was an energerizer CR2050 instead of the maxell CR2050 that i found in the watch originally. is that the problem or is the watch itself broken? nothing shows on the display.

The make of the battery should not have any effect on the operation of the watch.

If it is within the warranty period, then take it back, otherwise it sounds rather terminal.

Finding replacement battery for watch (DIY).

If anyone opted out to replace battery in their own watch and do not know what type and size of battery is correct for replacement, just open your watch case back and reed and memorize all the writings on battery your watch allready has in it. All you can do now is to buy exactly the same replacement battery and you will never get it wrong. All that matters is the combination of letters and numbers on battery. Make is not important, so, it can be made by Casio, Maxell, Citizen, Ronda - you name it. Just make sure you are not buying some of those cheap, unknown maker batteries, as they usualy lasts for about few weeks and then they are gone. Choose well known makers name and the battery will power your watch for 2-7 years, depending on each particular watch movement model. In case if you lost your original watch battery, check your watch instruction manual. If you lost both - battery and manual - then there is no other way, but to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for help.

Watch won't work after changing battery

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs..

Alarm won't turn off on Zoo York watch.

I have a different model but this solution came up in Google and it didn't work. On mine, I tried the following: press MODE. It will show the alarm time. Then press ST/SP a few times until the little alarm icon does not show on the alarm face. If you press RESET instead of ST/SP, it will start blinking and will want you to change the alarm time instead.

What kind of battery does the texas instruments model 101 watch use?

I am pretty certain that this watch uses two #386 silver oxide button cells. Alkaline cells would work, too, but they'd burn out more quickly--not that batteries last all that long in this watch, anyway. I'm basing this on the slightly newer (~1976-78) plastic-bodied TI LED watch that I have in front of me that I believe contains the same time keeping module as the original model 101.

It is also possible that the earlier watch would have taken #357 batteries, which are the same diameter as #386 cells but slightly taller. Both battery types were popular in LED watches of the time. However, I would suggest starting with #386 cells, as I destroyed the case back of a plastic TI LED watch many years ago by trying to use #357 batteries instead of the slightly smaller 386s. Both batteries put out the same voltage, so the watch will light up with either. However, the case back won't close if the battery is too tall--and if you force it, you can bend, distort, or shatter (in my case) the all-but-unobtainable case back.

Have fun with this watch! Mine still lights up and keeps good time.

How much is the cost of replacing a battery on my tissot prs200

If you have tool and do it at home, it costs you about $4.00 for the new battery bought from Wal-mart. You have to open the watch's back to see the battery type (for example Renata or Maxell or Varta, etc. together with a 3-digit number) then go to Wal-mart or somewhere else to buy a replacement.
If you can't do that by yourself or don't want to get some scratches on your watch, bring it to your local watches/jewelry store. ( I have paid for that small job $16.00 plus taxes.)

If you lost both - battery and manual - then there is no other way, but to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for help. In your particular case I do not see the reason why you should find the battery, because any decent watchmaker has many different batteries in stock. All you have to do is to find your closest watch repair shop and ask watchmaker to replace the battery. No need at all to send it to Luminox, as this job can be done at any watch workshop with the same precision and quality. In addition you will save money for shipping and pay less for battery itself.
Rate me, plz.
