Thee shoiuld be an output on your camera usualy a special phono plug or RCA connectors, possiblly but not probably a coax connecor. Either of these could be hooked up to you TV. Check the manuual for outputs. Sometines they supply you with a special cable that has 3 RCA male coinnectors on it. That contains your 2 audio channels and a video output. There could be other combinations as well.

HOOK UP VIDIO SURVALENCE CAMERA TO BACK OF TV

The camera output would have to be composite---and if so go to one of the rear audio/video inputs: yellow (composite video) is likely all you would need unless the camera has audio as well (go to red or white on same input).

How can I hook this cam up to my Television?

For this camera you will need to find in your equipment (or purchase) a "stereo video cable "
This cord features a 1/8th (male) headset jack on one end and 3 male RCA jacks on the other. (yellow/red/white).

Plug the 1/8th jack into the camera's AV input and the RCA plugs into your TVs RCA port input and select the correct AV input (AV 1, 2, etc)on your tv selector and the camera should play through your tv.

Security camera hook up

Hi Boybest,

Yes it's possible.

You have several options with your TV. You can use the Video-In from the auxiliary/line in or even though a VCR. The plugs in this case use what are called RCA Jacks. They travel in three's, one yellow, one red and one white. The yellow is the Video.

Any hook up is going to be dependent upon the output from your camera. Security cameras, for the most part output a video signal much the same as a VCR. Some however use RF (Radio Frequency) which requires it to be attached to a cable or antennae jack and then tuned in (usually channel 3 or 4).

If it's a straight NTSC Video signal there should be no problem. A long cord with RCA jacks to the Video-In would do it. Then you could switch the channel to AUX or Line One (which ever your model uses) to get the camera signal.

Computer cameras have a whole different way of doing things. If you run into any snags, comment me back with the make and model of your camera. I'll get you up and running.

BTW, good things come to those who rate. ;-)

Hope this helps.

How do I hook up a Sony Handycam Video 8 CCD-TRV41 NTSC to view on television?

the camera should have "a/v"out rca jacks.
yellow is video, other is audio, hook it to your tv or vcr.

YES,you can capture to your computer, but youll need a device with capturing/editing software.

dazzle,is an external adapter, and pinnicle used to sell a package, with an internal pci card, which is capable of importing "analog"(your old 8mm,or from vcr),OR digital(via firewire)if you decide to buy a newer camcorder.

BOTH products come with editing/dvd burning software(which you WILL need)and I can say from experience, pinnicle is easy to learn!!
