Thee shoiuld be an output on your camera usualy a special phono plug or RCA connectors, possiblly but not probably a coax connecor. Either of these could be hooked up to you TV. Check the manuual for outputs. Sometines they supply you with a special cable that has 3 RCA male coinnectors on it. That contains your 2 audio channels and a video output. There could be other combinations as well.

The A480 is a camera, not a video recorder. You can play back videos on a TV, but you cannot record a video from a TV.

SDHC cards need a special reader. A standard SD reader won't read a SDHC

If you want higher quality video, hook up the s-video connection instead of the composite video connection, but you'll still need the audio connection from the composites. So essentially, yeah.

Video output

The video output is used for viewing images from your camera to a TV. A slideshow can be accomplished by using the camera hooked to the TV or recorded from a VCR.
