I have this exact same problem, X-FI 4gb, cannot find a solution anywhere - Installed regular drivers and had to reset the device, just want to put a painkiller cd on for my brother and give him device, hope I can find the solution, Thing is ... and this is what hurts, IT WORKED FINE, until I plugged it into windows xp service pack 3, and then it said I need service pack 2, how do I downgrade my service pack though... Argh, you cant I know - Creative pioneered DRM, and now I'm paying the consiquences.
I decided not to pay someone to fix it so I opted not to use you. I still have the problem but I will search for solutions elsewhere as I have no reason to trust that what I pay you for will actually work.
You don't have to pay itunes a singel penny unless you purchase something. The reason it asks for your card number because it wants to make sure when you purchase something you have the money ready to pay for it.
If you don't have a credit card you can use debit card. You can even get a prepaid debit card from various places depending on your location. You can use itunes gift card.
Assuming you are from u.k or u.s.a. if you have a bank account you can signup for paypal which is free and very safe and use your paypal id to signup.
The songs that you are trying to load have a license type that the GoGear does not support, or the license does not allow playback on mp3 players. The solution would depend on the music service that you are using, and the type of GoGear that you have - on some music services, you can pay extra money to get a song that has a license that allows transfer and playback on mp3 players.
If, instead of an SA6045, you have a newer model Go Gear, you may not be able to play DRM-encrypted songs at all. In which case, the solution would be to sign up for a music service that only gives you songs in mp3 format.
None of the GoGears - ever- were ever compatible with iTunes.
Apparently you people don't back up your product so I returned it. Neither I nor anyone else should have to buy an upgrade for any product within a week of buying the product. If you consider that anywhere close to customer service you better rethink this business. Thanks anyway.
That is the reason why you got IO error! that means your av700 hd may be in need to be changed. Best thing to do is trying format again, if you cannot format again from av700 you need to remove AV700 drive and change it.
