How can I tell may Xerox 5334 to feed toner?

I have a Xerox 5334 copier.
After cleaning the toner feeder (J2) I have blank copies because there is now no toner left on the metall roller. How can I tell the machine to fill the toner feeder?
Reason for cleaning the toner feeder was spill of toner and my wish to solve some minor quality problems (dark bands on edge).
I made some 100 copies after in the hope it will feed itself. But this does not help. When I look into the opening while the machine works (I push a pencil on the door switch) I dont see any of the gears on J2 or J1 (toner cartridge) moving.
please help, Oliver

On this machine when their is no developer on the mag roll of the developer housing, this means it got all sent out to the waist developer canistor on the back.
The right way to put develor back on the mag roll is to buy another refill charge of developer to replenish the developer back into the housing.
A combination of things can cause no toner dispenser.
1. The toner motor was programed to dispense low amount of ink.
2. The developer housing is not firmly placed into the machine. The Blue socket is not mated correctly, causing the electrical pins not to contact. Make sure the door can close properly.
3. Any of the augars on the developer housing can be broken. They would have to be all taken off and physicaly checked. Especially the long tonor augar that dispenses the ink.
4. The front of the developer housing wall, where the tonor motor is bolted, may be cracked. This would cause the motor to turn, but the crack will cause the wall of the housing to move causing the gears not to turn to dispence the ink.
5. A bad tonor motor can cause no ink dispensement.
6. Check tonor motor to seeif there is any developer on the mag sensors on it.
7. A bad high voltage power supply can cause this type of problem.
8. A cracked copy cartrige recieving unit, housing can cause the copy cartrige not to sit properly in place.
9. A bad main ciruit board.
10. A toner cartridge with a broken spring inside the unit can cause no tonor to be pushed out of the tonor cartridge. When the big black wheel gear is spun, it should have a spring back tension on it. You should be able to feel the tension of the spring when it is turned. If it is free turning, the toner cartridge is not good. The toner is good, but the toner housing is not good.
Good luck.

I have purchased a remanuf toner drum for my xerox xl 2130f copier and installed-- everything fit very well and seems to seat well/ only I still get a j2 signal upon the startup and I am lacking for...

Most likely the "remanufactured" cartridge does not have the counter reset flag in the proper position or is missing completely. Just reset the counter via the service mode by pressing these keys in sequence and as quickly as possible (within 4 seconds).
Press Clear, then exposure mode (far left key) the clear then exposure mode again. So in short form C, Far Left, C, Far Left. If done properly the display will go blank. Now key in 24 as if you wanted to make 24 copies. Now press the print button. Now enter 7 then press print again. You should now see flashing 000.
Press C a few times to exit and the drum light/J2 should now be gone.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

HI, MY XEROX 1045 COPIER has making ""clicking"" sound

That indicates you need to replace the drum cartridge. It's been a while since I supported those products, but I believe the cartridge is in the bottom of the device. Make sure you remove the toner cartridge before tipping it over or you'll have a mess to clean up and won't be able to remove the drum.

Once you replace the drum, you need to reset the copier.

With "J2" flashing, press:
1. "CLEAR" button
2. "AUTO" button, then again
3. "CLEAR" button
4. "AUTO" button

Do it fairly quickly. If it's done quickly enough the display goes off. When it does:
5. enter "2" and "4" (see "24" on display)
6. Press "START/COPY"
7. Press "7"
8. Press "START/COPY"
DONE

If display doesn't go off repeat steps 1 to 4 but faster, until display is off.

J1 is the toner cartridge, J2 is the drum.

Xerox copier

J messages on Xerox machines always refer to toner or drum.Is the toner out , you could give it a shake (might be a good idea to go outside!) Sometimes it will run out without displaying a message(Pyramid of dots for out of toner) Drum end of life usually comes up with a crossed circle or similar .If all OK you could have a blocked toner supply auger or lumps caused by storing toner in sunlight, both would require the toner system being vacuumed out.
