Please advise as trip switch went in house and all power went off, all power has come back on.Washing machine never finished cycle, now we have no power on washing machine, have changed fuse still no power , the drum in washin machine still has water inside.

Hello. It sounds like the motor has gone bad--possibly a shorted part of the motor, or a jammed drain pump. It also could be the transmission binding at the point of going into spin mode. You didn't provide a brand/model number so my help is limited. The clue here is the clicking before the power trip.

Please DO NOT touch this machine IF the power is ON. There is a possibility of shock. The reason, the ONLY reason, that the Breaker "Trips" is, if there is a, Phase fault to Earth/Neutral, in other words the CASE of the machine. Please get a serviceman or electrician.

Hotpoint WMA 48, tripped house rcd, no lights on and water heating noise.

need to know a little more really but here goes, if you remove the top and the drive belt is still on then it will be as straight forward as the motor brushes at fault they will need replacing as this is a common fault on these machines. hope this helps
