Hello. It sounds like the motor has gone bad--possibly a shorted part of the motor, or a jammed drain pump. It also could be the transmission binding at the point of going into spin mode. You didn't provide a brand/model number so my help is limited. The clue here is the clicking before the power trip.
do u still have power to the machine? try a spin cycle? try a rinse cycle if neither works u have a power supply fault.did u wire the door lock correctley?
Hello,
It would seem to me that the heating element needs replacing from the information you have supplied especially as it performs most of the other functions like filling and spin and drain.
Good luck
Please DO NOT touch this machine IF the power is ON. There is a possibility of shock. The reason, the ONLY reason, that the Breaker "Trips" is, if there is a, Phase fault to Earth/Neutral, in other words the CASE of the machine.
Please get a serviceman or electrician.
need to know a little more really but here goes, if you remove the top and the drive belt is still on then it will be as straight forward as the motor brushes at fault they will need replacing as this is a common fault on these machines. hope this helps
