I have a logitech newtouch keyboard... in that letter R and space bar is not working.... please help me how to troubleshoot............

it could be a virus , please scan it with a good antivirus program

if the keyboard is too old and if you have used it a lot, then ou have to replace the keyboard. The space bar alone had gone.

I think ya need a new keyboard, that is NOT normal.. & KB's either work right or replace

Give that a shot.

Is it a wireless keyboard?

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel.
1. Click on Keyboard.
2. When the Keyboard Properties come up, CLICK on Key Settings.
3. Then set up the keys by selecting the Key to be changed.

did you check to make sure that the springs and bar under the spacebar are seated correclty?

solution.
first, be show to check if any other key is down, if not, dust your keyboard/pad to make sure the keys are free. if you problem remains, its likely your keyboard may be moist. you have to dry it by opening/ exposing it internal circuitry's to a dry air for some hours then close it up and test. if this did not work, it means you will need to replace your keyboard/pad.

when drying do not expose to direct sun light. if you have to replace the keyboard/pad buy an exart from your system manufacturer if you can.

Are you doing that for a museum or something?  Because otherwise, I think it's against the UN (anti-)torture conventions to use Win98.  Pick a Linux or bsd out of common sense!

Otherwise, you get to run the drivers on a WinXP or Vista box and reverse-engineer any function that doesn't come automatically.

You need to go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel & find the "regional & language settings". Set the country and related settings to wherever you are (as you're currently using a foreign setting).
