Question about Computers & Internet
First, make sure that the cable between monitor and computer is securely fitted. If possible, try using a different cable. If this works, then the problem was a faulty VGA cable.
If that doesn't work, try to reseat the video card or use a different slot. It could be that the card has become loose or the slot is no longer working. Make sure to clean all the dust inside first; you can use a can of compressed air to do this. If you do not know how to reseat the card or open the cabinet, get someone in the know to do this for you. The video card will be the card to which you attach the monitor cable.
Lastly, try to download the latest driver for your card from the manufacturer's website and reinstall the new driver.
If all this still does not work, it could be a problem with either the card or the monitor. Get a competent local technician to check it for you. Hope this helps...
