I recently had my console sent in due to the 3 red light issue and received replacement. The replacement unit will not sync with my two wireless remotes..only my rock band accessories and my dvd remote. I tried controllers on another xbox 360 and they work fine. I don't know what to try next save probably sending it back to Microsoft for another few weeks+.
-   I am having the same exact problem, I sent it in beacause of the Red RIngs and got it back and the controllers wouldnt sync. I was moving and I didnt want to send it back because I didnt want it getting lost or sent to the wrong return address. Now they say I have to pay 99 bucks because its been longer than 90 days. I have noticed that the controllers will sync if you are less than a foot away. I am guessing that there must be some kind of setting or something that is set too low or that the reciever is too weak to pick up the cotrollers anymore. What a piece of ****, I wont buy another Xbox product again. Horrilbe customer service and they know the products are faulty. I think I am going to get a controller with a cord or the play and charge kit. Its either that or sit a foot in front of the TV and play. -   davidvldz

-   THe same thing has happened to me. IT happened about two years ago. I called xbox and was going to send it in, but got busy and never sent it off. About two months later I plugged my xbox in and the controllers magically synced up. Then last night my controllers had the same problem. They will not select a player slot. They are connected because when I turn the controller on it turns the 360 on. Any help would be appreciated.-   paul_cocklin

-   I'm having the same **** happening with mine. Same story as your guys' too! And my memory card's not working now. It all happened on a random day like 2 months after I got my 360 back from Microsoft-   Guest
if you are within the 1 year warranty period, call 1 800 4 my Xbox and they'll replace the controller and accessories for you. However, if you are not within the 1 year warranty period then you have to buy a new controller. BTW, the 3 year warranty only applies to the 3 red rings (in case you didn't know) all accessories are covered for 1 year only
Its not a problem with the controllers, its a problem with the xbox, this usually occurs after a powersurge/outage, i know this isnt a solution but ive been trying to find a fix for the last year and there is nothing short of getting a new xbox or sending the broke one in that withh fix it, sry :/
I have an xbox that will not accept any wireless controllers, but you can still play it with wired controllers, see if that works for you, hey at least you can still play and dont have to buy a new one or pay to get it fixed! I am poor and I played for 20years with cords why not now?

I have the same exact problem. I had recently got my xbox back (for the red lights) and my controllers wont connect. I called MS and they're wanting to charge me another 100 dollars even though i had nothing to do with this problem. Does anyone know if its the controllers or the system?

Yeah i have the same fuckin problem its driving me nuts and i dont want to WAIT 3 weeks for a new one
Somethings up, I just received my 360 from the repair site this week and it also did the same thing. I was playing and all of a sudden it wont recognize any controllers and the only advice I am getting is press the sync buttons or purchase new controllers. Tried that and I am still having these problems and from the looks of it anyone who has sent their 360 in the last month has too.
