Try reconnecting the keyboard by pressing the reconnect button underneath the keyboard and reconnection the attenea as well.

Well, perhaps the tuner or antenna shading on that HP ****, or are configured oddly. You just haven't said anything about it, so after you're done second guessing the antennas themselves and their placement, I'll recommend you try known-good USB or PCIx x1 tuner/codec cards (and of course any warranties HP want to honor on the tuner they shipped.)

It seems that the CMOS Battery is creating a problem. See this link for reference. Also, you can get into the BIOS utility, load the defaults and then try to boot your computer again.

hi, only advice I have is to try different keyboard, the most basic keyboard you can find - looks like the OS is not picking up the drivers for your input devices - usually if you have an old keyboard it seems to work!

HOW DO I ENABLE WIRELESS?


have a look for a switch around the side's of the laptop, if there is not one there you may have to use the keyboard to activate it, look at the "F" keys at the top of the keyboard for a symbol that loos like a broadcasting aerial/ antenna, if you find this key hold down the "Fn" key and Press the key you found, that should activate the wireless, just give it a minute or so to pick up networks

My pc is a new phillips freevents with windows vista. i seem to be having trouble tuning my digital stations in.I have connect the anttena to the back of the pc and tunned some stations in it seems to only...


It sounds like the problem can only be either the card or the antenna. the Media player only plays the received signal from the card. perhaps, the antenna position is too low or surrounded by metal and not able to get a good enough signal.

look on the keyboard and look for a little antenna icon.... that should fix your problem otherwise take a pic of your keyboard and all sides of your laptop and e-mail them to me at fixya@whypayforhelp.org
