I lost the sound on my desk top computer

Mostly this problems occurs due to installation of softwares. I would suggest to use a good registry cleaner to fix and defrag corrupt registry entries. Use system optimizer Intel software partner Reginout to fix this instantly. After scanning with Reginout update the sound drivers.

iTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best result, turn off compatibility mode of iTunes before you open it.

> 1. Make sure iTunes isn't running.
2. Click Start, type regedit, then press Enter.
3. Navigate to this Registry location:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
4; Its better you clean/repair Windows registry with RegInOut.
4. Look in the main pane for a key that refers to iTunes. If you find one, delete it, then exit the Registry.
5. Start iTunes. The offending message should be gone!

Hi I am unable to use itunes on my computer. I installed and its asking to turn off the compatibity mode. And also I cannot view summary, photo etc tab on my iphone device.

Hi

First of all

1. Exit out of iTunes.

2. On the Windows Start Menu select Computer or My Computer Depending on the OS

3. Browse to the following location: C:\Program Files\iTunes.
Note: Windows 7 (64 bit)browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.

4.Right-click on the iTunes application (iTunes or iTunes.exe) and select Properties.

5. Next select the Compatibility tab.

6.
Ensure that the options Run this program in compatibility mode and Run this program as an administrator are not checked. If they are checked please deselect these options, then select Apply, and OK. You should now be able to open iTunes with out receiving the error message about iTunes running in compatibility mode.

This should fix your problem.Still if your facing the same problem after performing the following steps:-

7. Open the Registry Editor by selecting the Windows Start button, typing regedit into the search box or the run box depending which OS your using eg- xp,vista,7 and then pressing Enter.

8.
Browse to the following location in the registry editor, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers, and highlight the Layers folder.

9. Delete the entry for the iTunes application (iTunes or iTunes.exe).

10. Close registry editor and restart the computer

You should now be able to open iTunes without receiving the error message about iTunes running in compatibility mode.If not please reply

Thanks & Regards

Upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista with disks supplied by ACER

Try downloading CCleaner, which is free utility that will clean out all your temp files and also scan your registry for issues.

When a program is uninstalled, such as Kaspersky anti-virus, not all registry components are cleared out.

This is particularly the case if the program was a 30 day trial.

The registry retains details of the original installation to prevent consecutive 30 day trials.

CCleaner should clean it out. Run the Registry Issues component until it reports no issues found and then try your install again.

Have widows xp. after using itunes, many registry

Sounds like you may have some registry issues, more than an iTunes or Explorer issue.

Check out this program - Amust Registry is a great tool for fixing registry problems. It is a fee-charged software, but I think I only paid $20 or so for it. It looks like it is free on the site, but it will make you pay to actually fix everything.

I've used it for YEARS and never had a problem with it; however, make sure to put the Check Mark in BACK UP MY STUFF BEFORE FIXING IT, just in case. :)
