If you are using WINXP, right click on the open desktop. From the pull-down menu, select PROPERTIES. From the PROPERTIES window, select the SCREEN SAVER tab. Hp pavilion all in one AMD goes to sleep after 1 minute idle then asks for password to open up.. how to extend idle time to 2 hours

What you are experiencing isn't "sleep" mode, it is the screen saver. If you have WINXP, right click on a clear area of the desktop, and select "Properties". When the DISPLAY PROPERTIES window appears, select the "screen saver" tab. Change the "WAIT" time to the time you wish the scrren saver to delay. If you don't want to have to login after a screen time out, uncheck the "On resume, display Welcome Screen" box.
