Best bet would be to call Apple, especially if it has warranty. They will be able to tell you if it is software or hardware. They will probably have a reset technique to assist you.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

their is nothing you can do, if under warranty take to apple, if not you can do a trade in for a phone,
or last but not least, send to a internet repair service...

I have an iPhone 3g 16giga, please help... all else is working but the phone (to call) menu, the touchscreen is not reponding.. please, please help me.... :(

Did you jailbreak your iphone? If so, did you recently install something from Installer? Probably...a Kate? That software is very buggy, and caused most of the problem with the phone app in iPhone. Hope that helps.

Iphone keypad not working

First try a hard reset. Hold down the power and home button simultaneously for 10 seconds until the iPhone reboots.
If that doesn't work you need a new digitizer. If it's a 3G I would advise replacing the digitizer. If it's a 2G I would not advise replacing the digitizer b/c you would have to replace the LCD, Digitizer, and the Glass Panel and the cost would exceed $100.
You could also consider selling your iPhone AS IS for parts or repair on eBay, Craigslist, BuyMyTronics.com or I could make you an offer.
Hope this helps, Rate me please!

Touchscreen not working

you may need to replace the digitzer. Apparently it''s fairly easy to do, there are plenty of youtube videos and websites to help you, or you could send it in to a repai company. Good luck :)

Iphone touchscreen

Since the touch screen is a delicate mechanism, it will not be able to solved personally by you unless you are a professional.. i therefore suggest you to give it to the service centre and get it done rather than getting it more worst..

Thankyou

Iphone touchscreen not working:(

I think my solution for my Viewty will work for the iPhone

I found a solution for the LG KU990 Viewty touchscreen not responding problem. After thinking about twisting my phone, I came up with another solution which actually works every time. The touchscreen works via layers of plastic that when contact is made, a signal is triggered from the coordinates of the contact. However, when the phone has pressure, these layers of plastic stick together somehow. So, to fix it.... Get a small strip of adhesive tape that will not leave a sticky residue on your screen. Apply that tape in several spots on the surface of the screen, and lift it away from the phone with light pressure. Repeat this in several areas of the screen. That's it. You're done. Your screen should function properly. Simply recalibrate the touchscreen at this point in your settings menu. I hope it helps everyone with any type of touchscreen. I know it helped me. The touchscreen phones are totally useless using only the hard keys!
