Question about Compaq tc1100 Tablet PC
Earlier I had a problem with my display. Once I got past that issue, I see I am unable to activate my wireless card. I've tried going into the WLAN connection and configuring the card. I've also tried to activate it by using the Q-menue and clicking on "Wireless On".
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wireless Radio switch is set to the "On" position. This switch controls
your wireless connection and because of its placement can be
accidentally switched when packing and unpacking your laptop.

What was the earlier problem?
Do you think it is/was/might be related?
How did you get past the issue? If you formated, you have to go through "Software Setup" find it at Start, All Programs, Software Setup. (tc1000) or if you restored with the factory discs (tc1100) then it should be done. If a tech "restored" your tablet with other than the factory restore discs, then Q menu may be impaired or nonfunctional.
Is the card actually there?
Are the cables connected?
Is the card the original hp card? Some others will not work with the Q Menu.
Go to hp.com, navigate to the tc1100 support page and download all drivers or recent updated drivers.
Install the updates and you should be fixed.
HP will sell you restore discs for $10.72 (thats what I paid last fall) that will install the correct drivers for the unit. Cheap at twice the price. You will need a keyboard (USB generic will work if you don't have the original detachable) and an optical drive (USB CD Drive) basically to do this.
My friendly local tech is at $50 for basic service, and if you can back up to another PC (cat 5 cable connection is fastest) or a card, then a reformat never hurts a thing, kills many troubles too!
