Please specify what "trouble."

If you try another cartridge - including the old one - does that work, or have exactly the same "trouble", or what else happens, please?

Best wishes,
Robbie

We are having trouble with our kodak ESP5 printer it wont print using black we have changed both cartridges and ran it through the cleaning it also only sees that the black is 1/2 full and it's a new black...

Follow www.kodak.com/go/itg and try the step by step solution. If issue persists,Call Kodak @1800 421 6699 and get a new printhead free of cost.....Printhead has gone bad and it is the part in which we install the ink cartridges. It takes the ink out of the cartridges and spit the ink on the papers,...Cheers and Enjoy.

My printer has a new ink cartridge but does not recognize the ink

What model printer do you have and can you list the print cartridge?
Also have you selected on the onboard printer menu that you have inserted a new cartridge?

Can't seem to put ink cartridges in the slots provided

This sounds like the cartridges are not for the MP210. Check the cartridge part numbers to make sure they are for the MP210.
Ink cartridges should go in easily and snap down in the carrier.

Epson 4800 won't initialize after changing black cartridge

Did you change from matte black to photo black? Or vice versa? If so you have to use the ink conversion kit that came with your printer and draw out the old ink and install the new black in cartridge. Try page 113 in your owners manual. I am having a similar problem but with the light cyan and it says "set ink cartridge".

Black ink not printing

Having had the same problem on my 425cn Brother with the black ink, I'm told that the solution is hot water. I goes something like this: remove cartridge, place in container with hot water for a while, remove allow to dry completely, replace, perform clean cycle and print test page. Apparently it's imperative to dry completely and stand cartridge upright. The warm water thins the ink, and remove (apparently) blockages. I cannot verify that this works, but will try it this weekend and let you know! If the housing that the ink cartridge can be readily removed, take that out and clean in warm water. Again dry very well before returning. Be care full that ink becomes runny and may leak out of cartridge and make a mess - so work carefully.
