The E2 was working just fine yesterday, and then later in the afternoon it would not turn on. I pressed all the buttons, sometimes twice to three times in hope a miracle would occur, and nothing happened. I also set it up to charge last night, but did not hear my usual "beep!" when I put in the little charge plug (and yes, the charger was plugged in). This morning it still does not want to turn on. Thanks for any help.

Press and hold the Power button, and, whilst keeping it pressed, briefly press the reset pin with the stylus pen (a paper clip would also do the job). When the 'Palm Powered' logo comes up, release the Power button. A warning message asking for confirmation will appear. Confirm by pressing the D-pad's Up button.

Best thing to do here is to remove any memory cards etc.. and do a hard reset - seems like soft reset will or has not worked...
Press and hold the power button - keep it pressed and gently press the reset button on the back of the handheld. Wait for the Palm Powered logo to appear and release the power button. You should get a message warning about erasing all data. Press up on your 5-way navigator to reset.
This will erase all data inlcuding user information from the device, but synchronizing should get it all back - but you will loose anything that was not recently sync'd
Turn it on pressing the reset at the same time or take out battery and unplug/plug the battery. Your battery may have died. If this is helpful, post as such. If it is a fixya, post as such. I had an E2, can tell you alot about it. TY

Other than pressing the power button, the device will turn on if one of the four buttons on the face of the device are pressed (calendar, notes, task list, etc). So check to see if they might be getting pressed by accident. Unless it is protected by a hard cover, it is possible that a button is being pressed by accident in your pocket, backpack, suitcase or wherever you carry it.
Let me know if that helps.
PS - The device will also turn on if a reminder or alarm is set.
