You can hear the sound means your TV and the DVD player are working well. May be the video connecting cord ( yellow connector) between the TV and DVD player has gone bad. Please try replacing it. For testing, you can interchange it with any of the two sound connecting cords which have white and red connectors. I hope it helps.
OK here is a possible solution:
1) The best solution: Connect the antenna to your DVD-VCR through the RF Input and the the RF Out to your TV This take care of the VCR part. Then you get an RCA three way cable (Video-yellow marked, Right Audio-Red marked, Left Audio-white marked)connect the yellow marked RCA cord to the Video out of your DVD player then connect the other end to your video in of your TV. Ater that connect the red marked audio cable to the R Audio out of your DVD player to the R Audio in of your TV do the same for the white marked Audio cable. You will now be able to switch from VCR-RF to DVD-RCA.

Yes you can use Just the red, white and yellow cable from your dvd player to the tv....now make sure you have it connected correctly...sometimes its easy to confused the yellow and white connections. make sure your tv is turned to Input that you have used for connecting the cables on the back....such as...input 1...select input 1 on your tv....or if it says dvd...then select dvdv on yoru tv..You can use a HDMI cable...just plug HDMI from your dvd player to your tv and select HDMI on yoru tv..Good luck
Make sure you are connecting it using a composite cable (red white yellow) into the INPUT behind the tv.. they are also inputs on the side of the tv.. if problem continues try buying a new dvd player that has HDMI connections so it would use just one cable to connect... they for for around 50 bucks... here is the manual http://tv.manualsonline.com/np/usermanuals/mfg/samsung/ln32c350__flatscreen_tv
Hook up your cables from your DVD player to these input on the back of your TV.
The group of ports should be labeled as video 1 input. Use the Yellow, Red and White on the back of both DVD Player and TV. Then, change the input on the TV remote to input or video 1 to watch the DVD Player.
