Had no video signal (power switch remains amber not green) , no POST or lights on the USB keyboard or mouse

Lights on front panel and HDD spins up ok.

Replaced the MOBO (Dell MOBO E210882) - and powersupply.

Tried to boot with no RAM, no USB connections.

    I have checked all connections.

Still have the same problem of no video.

    I would appreciate anyones thoughts.

    Thanks

I haven´t signal to the video device.

The LED from Hardisk, CD, Floppy, Keyboard and Mouse there´s work.

But haven´t video. I tried to takeoff the video card and make it work with the integrated, but didn´t work. I even tried to reset the bios, but I´m not sure how to doit correctly, and I´ve read in this forum that this didn´t work.

    Thanks a lot.

Please send me a reply to hejoquen@yahoo.com

I powered down my system before going on holidays. When I returned and powered up my PC...no video. Fans and HDD lights are working but no video. I tried both the VGA/DVI on card and VGA on MOBO. Still nothing. It did power up once to desktop and then just rebooted.

I've tried another PS but to no avail.

Thanks a lot... I've find a solution.

Get a Win98 System diskette (command)
Get a BIOS diskette (get from the Intel site)

1. On the PC with the System diskette, wait until you can hear six beeps (I'm not sure about how many 'cause I don't count, but, you have to wait until there's no beeps)
2. Take off the System diskette and replace with the BIOS diskette
3. Reset
5. Wait until you can hear four beeps (same as 1)

And "Voilá" This works
I have to make a recommendation... Reinstall the Windows, 'cause my Windows run very, very, very slowly until I reinstall.

My motherboard is D865GBF Intel... I'm not sure that works for other MB

Looks like no one has a solution.

fgrocker: you cant reset the BIOS cause you cant get anything from the PC!

Unplug the ram for 30 minutes ( It can hold info for some time) just before you go to put it back in, clear the bios using the jumper or battery.
Then plug in the POWER chord and if it doesnt boot then, hit the ON button.
(this has worked for me before)

Sounds like your monitor is bad. Try another monitor because if the video card was bad and the monitor is working you would get a No Signal message on the screen. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok, then your original monitor is bad. If the Borrowed monitor does the same as your original monitor and does not display anything, then there is an issue with your video card.

When my wow pad boots up it goes thru the infotec screen to a lite blue screen it cannot find E:/ to restore or anything it just stays on the blue screen.

Hi, maybe you can take a try of this rescue program called BootSuite. I came across similar blue screen situaiton on my HP laptop (win 7) and it helped me get rid of it and rescued my data back. It is an awesome toolkit that includes a boot CD and several other data rescue tools that help get your PC going even if Windows won't start or computer won't boot up at all. Good luck.

My computer broke down I can't see anything the whole screen is black

You may try this; Turn OFF the laptop, remove the power sources (ac adapter and battery). Without power sources, hold power button 10 secs. Put back the power sources, and power ON the NB. If the laptop will not boot by doing this, take it to the nearest repair center to have it check for possible motherboard issue.

Or, if you are hearing the welcome sound, but no display, that could be a LCD problem.

My laptop screen stays black when i boot up? I installed a new inverter but did not fix the problem. Could it be a cable of some sort?

Shine a flashlight on the screen at an angle during boot up and see if you see anything, its possible your backlight has gone bad, if that is the case you can probably find a replacement screen on ebay.

Computer not booting My computer turns on but the screen stays black. i noticed that the fans would whirl(starting up) then would stop. may be a short in the fan switches

This could be a processor, motherboard, or power supply fault. Have you done anything recently that have caused this?

And if you have any other compatible parts, you can try cross checking your computer with them.

Hi,
Check the mains power supply cable. Try to Connect with another cable. Or, the SMPS power supply unit may be at fault.

Samsung laptop black screen

Sounds like a loose connection between your mainboard, inverter or LCD. Try to connect an external monitor and see if the display appears to the external monitor. If a display appears on the external monitor, you need a qualified technician to check your laptop. I fixed 3 laptops with that same symptoms, 1 has loose connector, 1 has ground problem and the other is an inverter.
