My Xbox 360 won't go ot the Internet

I can't get my Xbox 360 to connect to the Internet.

My 360 won't connect to live for some reason. I load my profile and a message pops up saying my consolecannot connect to the internet and to test connections. All connections pass untilit gets to the Live one. My account is good for about another 6 or 7 months and support tells me it is ok. They did try to tell me that my ISP may not be compatible with Live, BUT I have been online for almost 2 years until now. I am connected via router from the modem and I just started getting this problem. Also, one other thing, my consoles internal clock restes everytime iI turn it off.

How do u connect an an xbox 360 to xbox live

You need either a blue Ethernet cable to connect the Xbox to an internet outlet or a wireless router. If you use the wireless router, hook it up to your computer so it broadcasts a signal, then, depending on what Xbox you have, if its the new 360 slim you won't need a wireless adapter, you search for the signal, then connect it. If you don't have the 360 slim, then you need to buy a wireless adapter and it plugs into the back of the Xbox.

An update won't go through

This is a common problem with some xbox 360 users and relates to internet connection, It can be down to ports or firewalls blocking connections or just that the update server is really busy and refusing connections however there is a solution. If you go to

http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates.aspx

You can download the update and burn it to a cd or put it on a usb drive/pen and then plug it into your xbox and apply the update.

How to connect xbox 360 to the internet with laptop

I'm not sure if you can connect an Xbox 360 to the internet with a lap top. What I would do, is get a router (guessing that you already have one). But if you don't, it's basically a splitter for Ethernet cords. You plug the router into the Modem (the box that makes the internet), buy an Ethernet cord, plug it from the router to your Xbox and you should have internet. Or, you can get a wireless router, and get a network adapter for your Xbox to get internet wireless. But I don't think you can just get internet from your laptop.

Cant connect to internet using internet stick

The internet stick you have would be a USB device which is not supported by Xbox 360, you can connect to Xbox 360 wirelessly or through a wired connection

One way of connecting wireless internet is through the ethernet cable to a laptop paired with your wireless router, or you would have to buy a Wi-Fi adapter for Xbox 360 which retails around $90.

Since Xbox 360 does not have a software like a PC, it is unable to recognize the USB internet stick you have as a internet connection, it may probably end up showing it up just as a USB device on the system settings menu on the Xbox 360 dashboard

How do I connect Xbox 360 wirless network up

There are two ways to set up wireless connection to your Xbox 360, and get Xbox LIVE. Now remember, for you to do anything with the wireless connection, you need to buy Xbox LIVE. The company has a 3 month free trail for Xbox LIVE that you can sign up for. Then, when you have that bought, your true experience can begin. If you are fortunate enough that you console location is near your internet router, then you can hook up your 360's internet cord to the back of your router. then you will have to go to your internet configuration and test your connection, and you will have live. The other way is by going to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, or any other game seller and buy something that is called the Xbox 360 wireless connection router. I'm not sure if that is the exact name, but it looks like a pretty small internet router. Then, you hook that up to the front or back of your 360, into one of the many USB ports, and you install it. You may need help and may have to call Xbox 360 customer service. But, those are the two ways to get live.
Please rate.

Thankyou, Good Luck, Noob815

Cannot connect ot xbox live my ip address test fails

if you dont have a router, you can either have the xbox or the pc conneted to the internet, not both. you have to have an eithernet cord or a usb 2.0 high speed usb chord that goes directly from the xbox to the modem. you cannot go from the modem to the computer then to the xbox.
