Ice maker does not make

the water in the door problem after you fill up your cup with water it keeps running all over the floor.. it sounds like its a stuck contact on a micro switch inside the door compartment. that lever you are pushing your glass onto is atached to a little switch and if the contacts stay closed (like when a glass is pushing on it) the machine thinks "hey he still wants water". next time it does that try pushing on the spot you put the glass onto a couple of time to see if it stops the water. if so it most likely is the switch. to confirm that is the case you will have to open the plastic moulding from the fridge door to gain access to the switch.( always unplug any electricall device before openning to ensure your hair doesnt end up standing striaght up like a punk rocker) you will know which switch is the one you want to check by depressing the water lever on the front. Ohm check the switch for continuity to see if it gives you proper readings or it is in fact a bunk switch. it also could be a mechanical problem as the lever once unpressed is not opening the switch back up once the glass is removed but that is not as likely unless you are ramming the glass into the water dispensor
