Will not turn on?

I have a Kodak Easy share V570 and it went dead on me while i was taking pictures.
When i found my charger and charged it up i would not turn on. All 3 blue blinking lights on it worked up, which indicated that is was charged up i will not turn on.

I cann't get the camera to turn on. It just stopped working. I charged it on its base. (3 lights lit up) Still didn't work. Took the battery out and charged it in a small camera battery charger. Still no luck. It seems as though the battery is fully charged. This camera is about 1 1/2 years old, could the battery not be holding a charge any longer? This is my 2nd kodak digital and I love it but it stinks that it just stopped working. Help.

Depending on when you bought the camera and how often you've used it, the battery may be dead. If you haven't had the camera very long, it's possible that the battery may be faulty. If you can find someone with the same camera, ask if you can try their working battery in your camera. If that doesn't work, it may be your camera.

Please also try to upload new firmware: I doubt that it will solve the issue, but the alternative is a repair and your camera model is no longer repaired by KODAK due to shortage of spare parts.

Instructions to upgrading the firmware for: V570
Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.

The camera doesn't open and it doesn't charge. It is dead.

I wonder if you attached the right voltage of charger.
Thats what I did. I put on a 9v dc charger
Now my v570 is dead......but ironically it will still charge a battery.
Now an expensive battery charger!

Problem with M340 Kodak easy share digital camera..( automaticall

I had the same problem after a day at the beach. What I did was get a can of compressed air (from the computer section) and blow air around the lens as I repeatedly turned it on. It took about five cycles, but I eventually cleared whatever was preventing the lens from fully opening.

Good luck.

Kodak easy share z612 will not turn on to take a picture

When the battery dies, usually the camera will retract the lens if possible. If the battery is so dead the lens can not retract, I would recommend trying to charge or change the battery. Or try to turn the camera on, and then manually shutting it off if you can.

Lifeless Camera

I wish I shared you easy solution feeling. Try a few things Take battery out and clean the contacts at the base of the chamber with a pencil eraser. Ditto on the chamber door. If nothing happens try charging the battery in another charger or another battery. Still dead? Kodak support is the next stop
