Broken outer glass screen havent found a replacement or any places that can repair it. The warranty does not cover this problem either.

I was able to pry off my screen in a few pieces and take it to a glass repair place (KY Glass and Mirror in my case) and they were able to fit a new piece of Plexiglass in. They wouldn't touch it though until I took the old glass out.

Same problem with Zune 80gb 2nd Gen: Broken outer screen.
Who knows the thickness of the glass and how to remove the broken one ?
    Thanks

Broken outer glass cover. Need to find inexpensive replacement. Could probably pry out the broken fragments and stick new glass or plexiglass cover in its place.

Your outer screen can be replaced. There are third party Zune repair services, that will fix it for cheap. Even better, I found an DYI Zune repair guide, so you can do it yourself too, not that difficult. Part is available on Ebay. If you can't do it yourself, have a tech savy friend do it for you.

Try PDASmart.com. The glass on my zune 80gb just broke as well, and this is the only place that offers a replacement.

You would probably encounter less problems just replacing your iPod's HD with a new one.

RapidRepair sells them for $110 for an 80g, and their instructions are pretty good.

It looks like they might actually be interchangable, but in my experience 1st Gen Zunes have a lot of problems, especially with the batteries and HD's.

Okay, this is a REALLY common problem. It's more likely than not that dust is on your lens. Best bet is to buy a Laser Eye Cleaner disc and hope that fixes the problem. If not than you will have to contact sony. If your still under warranty they will fix it for free. if the warranty has expired, then they will charge you a repair fee

Hi, i'm looking for an instruction manual to download for my 3rd gen 8gb ipod nano

Hello, Apple Service Rep here.
Here is the features guide for reference: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/ipod_nano_3rd_gen_features_guide.pdf
Now there is no actual manual for it online. Just a features guide. You could of course refer to the 2nd gen and 4th gen manuals.
If you are still hesitant, have a look: http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodnano3rdgeneration

The altec lansing inmotion does not charge my new ipod nano. What I can do

Maybe this could be the solution...
Source: http://www.speakerstation.co.uk/ipod-speaker-docks-ct-87.html
"...
Important Note: iPods released since Sept 2008 (e.g. Touch 2nd Gen, 4th Gen iPod Nano and iPod Classic 120 Gigabyte, iPhone 3g and onwards) have an updated dock connector that means older revisions of speaker dock may not be able to charge these newer models of iPod/iPhone. Older docks should play music from these newer models with no problem.
The problem with charging is due to Apple removing support for 12v (firewire) charging on these new models of iPod/iPhone. Only 5v (USB) charging is supported on these new models. ..."

Info

I have received a IPod Nano 2 GB Silver as a gift. How do I find if it is a 1st Gen or 2nd Gen. Model number is A1199 and Part Number is MA477ZT/A. The pack looks like similar to one in Apple Store website (http://a248.e.akamai.net/7/248/8352/...quirements.jpg).

Any one has picture of the 1st Gen Nano package.Look here. Yours will be second gen - first gen only came in black or white.

thanks regards JAN_yuanjia please rate it
