Replaced Toner and Still Wants it to be replaced

The message of replacing the magenta toner was flashing this morning, so I replaced it, and it refuses to register there is a new magenta toner installed. I turned the power off and back on. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

You need to manually reset the CRU counter in the service menu to reset the toner count. This is designed so the xerox tech can come in and get paid for work. What you do is the following:
Enter the service mode by turning the machine off....then hold the (i) button and (<) arrow button simultaniously while turning the machine on. Then go down to nvram access enter menu, then go to CRU menu. Then go to the Toner CRU count menu, then select the toner you wish to reset and allow the machine to reset.
IF you need any parts feel free to come to my store

You may have a cover problem not actuating an interlock switch or a bad dispenser.

You possibly need a service call.

Ricoh CL4000DN. I recharged the magenta toner using the OEM cartridge. I replaced the chip as instructed and all elements snapped together without difficulty. However, now there is a "check toner...

Hi, the chip on those toner bottles stores information about how much toner is left, so once that chip registers an empty toner bottle, it won't work even if you attach it to a new toner bottle. You'll need the chip from a new toner bottle, or one that hasn't registered no toner.

I have replaced the toner but am still getting the replace toner message.

My message error was sepcific for magenta after I removed it to refill it. After refilling, cleaning metal contact points, resetting the metal tab which prevents message of "low toner", I put the cartridge back in and received the "magenta toner not installed" message. I turned off the printer (safety first!) , I then pushed the button left of the hole where you slide the cartridge in, There is a squarish hole with a circular or cynlinder shaped button in that squarish hole. Use a small screw driver to push and hold it in. While the button is held in I gently rotated the cartridges so that my magenta cartridge was no longer in view, (rotate them counter clockwise). I released the button, shut the door, then turned on the printer.

Replaced Toner- It Still Won't Work

it is possible that it is not installed correctly, ensure that it fits rightly on its place, oterhwise there is no way it would resume printing, reset the unit once again open and close the covers and turn the switch on and off to reset

Magenta cartridge empty

When you take the toner cartridge off the imaging unit, is there magenta toner in the open slot of the IU? Assuming that there is nothing wrong with the toner cartridge, you are possibly looking at a bad engine control board.

Toner and Imaging Unit issues

If this IS a CLP-510, first make an information confirmation print.
Press MENU, then press ENTER, and ENTER again.

Look at the counter for the imaging unit, is it a low count confirming that you have indeed replaced it ?
If not you will need to reset the counter.

Check the counters for the toner cartridges, and check the capacity of the cartridge. On a CLP-510 the image counter for the toner is held on the chip on the cartridge (which also identifies the capacity of the cartridge).

There have been some faulty (oiginal Samsung chips), and of course re-manufactured cartridge chips could fail (many re-manufacturers don' test their cartridges before dispatch, they don't have the facility to do so without starting the count on the chip (or 'bowing' the reset fuse on a CLP-500 cartridge). VERY few re-manufacturers can test these cartridges without starting the count.

Sometimes the 'replace xxxxx toner' messages are caused by toner on the three contacts on the side of the cartridge, or their mating contacts inside the printer. Rarely, this can be caused by a faulty circuit board.

Konica minolta error

I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
Hope this fixes your as well.
