Usually, if you have an Intel graphics card (Most of these come onboard a Motherboard) then you have pressed Ctrl-Alt Left or Ctrl-Alt-Right. Try Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Up or Ctrl-Alt-Down. This should put your screen back to the right rotation.

To disable this, there should be a blue monitor icon in the bottom right hand status bar. You can disable the keyboard shortcuts by right clicking on that icon and selecting disable shortcuts (or something like that)

Change screen orientation

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures. Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options. For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation
Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop. Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time. Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation. Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation. b> Windows 7 Monitor Orientation b> Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel. Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column. When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate. Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference. Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window. Click "OK" to finish. Hope this helps

Wireless Keyboard and Mice not working - Easy Steps to Fix It

Most of the times when we have a Wireless Keyboard and Mice , we do face frequent issues when the device would stop functioning.
Here below are 3 easy steps to diagnose and fix it

1. Re-establish the wireless connection: Press the Connect button on the keyboard/mice(turn the device upside down and you will be able to see the connect button) and press the connect button on the reciever together.
Release both the buttons together.
This would re-establish the connection and the device would start working.
If not, move to the next step

2. Take out the battery and insert back in and check. If still the same issue, replace with a new set of batteries.

3. In case both the above fail, then its the device going at fault. If within warranty contact the manufacturer and get them replaced else time to get new keyboard and mice.

If you find the information shared by me in the above tip useful, please do rate the tip.
All the Best!!!

My monitor is displaying sideways on a hp montior

It sounds to me like you have Hotkeys enabled and accidently pressed them.

To rotate screen view you can do the following using the keyboard arrow keys in conjunction with pressing CTRL key and ALT key at same time:

    Ctrl-Alt-Up - right side up

    Ctrl-Alt-Right - 90 degrees

    Ctrl-Alt-Down - 180 degrees

    Ctrl-Alt-Left - 270 degrees

To locate HotKeys and disable navigate here:

Start >> Control Panel >> Display >> Settings >> Advanced

Subject to your monitor/graphics card you may need to click a few mor tabs to see HotKeys.

Hope this helps. Best Regards -md

My screen is upside down and my mouse right and left side are reversed, how can I change it back?

On my shuttle, there is a combination of button to turn the screen 90 degrees to the left or right. Something Like CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow or CTRL + SHIFT + arrow or ALT + SHIFT + Arrow , to rotate to different angle , also there are Viewing options in your display drivers. In the ATI control panel, there is a tab rotation to rotate the desktop 90 degrees to the right or left or 180 °

    Try this.

I have just bought my son a laptop,i cant get connected to my live box it says the wireless is on but the light is not on also on the keyboard i have to hold the fn button down to use the letters m j k l u...

Have a look at the F keys at the top of the keypad. The fn key is a toggle key. It changes the mode to something and then back again when you press it. There will be an F key with a picture of a keyboard on it (probably) (Dont press the one with the the picture of a computer on or your screen will go off)
Press fn and the keyboard Fkey together to toggle back to alpha keyboard rather than numeric.
